Worst Hampton Inn ever. Check-in was less than friendly or informative. We weren't even provided with information about accessing the internet. We had requested an accessible room which we were provided. Upon entering the room, the bathroom was dirty with stains on the shower floor and tile floor.||We were awakened before 5am by banging against the headboard. I found out when I left the room that our bedroom backed up to the kitchen and the breakfast staff began preparing for breakfast at 5am. The cabinet doors were not soft close, nor did they have bumpers to soften the sound. The banging went on for the entire morning.||My husband went to work out and I took a shower. When I got out of the shower, the entire bathroom was flooded so badly that the water had flowed into the entryway. Having a construction background, I first noticed that the roll-in shower pan (with no lip) was higher than the tile floor. The shower pan was not angled for the water to flow into the drain so the only place it could go was out into the bathroom. The bathroom floor angled towards the hallway so the water continued to flow out. I dried up as much as I could and when my husband came back, I told him what had happened. (Fortunately I didn't slip and fall as I had recently had surgery.) ||I told my husband to be careful but during his shower, the same thing happened. The entire bathroom floor flooded and there was soapy water running into the entryway. We reported it to the front desk who informed us that there was no manager on duty. They did send a friendly maintenance man to our room.||We questioned Jose as to whether this had been a problem in the past. He hesitated and then claimed that the room was newly renovated. The stains on the shower floor prove differently. Additionally, the bathroom door had been crudely shortened and there were still water stains and the door was still swollen from leaking water.||There was no hairdryer in our room but maybe that was because the hotel knew we would get electrocuted if we used one while standing in a huge puddle of water.||This hotel was more than UNSAFE. It was filthy. The ice bucket had the plastic bag hanging over the edge but it had melted ice in the bottom with a package of wet gum in it, leftover from a prior guest.||The hotel looks like they are cutting corners. The juice was watered down. The coffee was very weak and there was no fruit at the breakfast station (even though there is in the pictures). We have been traveling for the past several days. We generally stay at Hampton Inns or Homewood Suites. This is the worst Hampton Inn ever and certainly not up to Hampton Inn standards.||I asked for a call from the hotel manager. I have not received one so now I will contact the New York Hotel Complaint line to have them follow up on the safety concerns I have with this hotel.||I will also find a website where I can post...
Read moreMy family and I arrived at this hotel on Friday January 18. It was booked through a third party by my brother so that we could attend a funeral. We arrive at around 4pm. My husband was the first to shower and noticed that the water stared to build up in the tub and not drain and s he was showering. Even as he exited the shower the water was still there. Being that I have two toddlers I couldn’t give them a bath. My husband alerted the staff of the issue and the stated that they would send someone up for the issue. I dropped my husband at the wake and went back to the hotel to wait for the maintenance guy. He finally arrived at around 630pm. The first thing he stated is that he was not the guy for this job and that the person whom was responsible for this called out today. So he goes in looks at the tub and says he doesn’t have any tools to fix the pro two I’ll probably be moved to another room. Almost two hours pass and I no one has come back to the room. I go to the front desk and ask the clerk what’s going on and she stars that the “Guy” went to lunch and he should return shortly. She also said that he would return to put a commercial chemical in the tub to solve the issue. I say to her so you are going to put a chemical ina drain in a room where I have two young children? She says YES!! So at this point I’m appalled at the professionalism of this staff. I go up to my room to contact corporate and long story short They did Nothing!! The “Guy” finally comes back and when he walks in he’s says absolutely nothing (Mind you I opened the door for him) and when he leaves he says nothing. I go into the restroom and the water is drained but then I run the shower and it starts to fill with water again. Fast forward the next morning I speak with the manger Nanette and a clerk named Sophie and they stated that there would be a double available later in the day for my family and I to moved into. We return from the funeral and I check with Sophie to see if the trim is available and she stated that she has one on the first floor but she’s waiting for one on the third floor so that it will be easier to transport our belongings. I say to her I need to leave but if you must assure me that you will hold this room until I return. She says no problem I will be saving this room for you. My family and I return at 10-10:30 only to find a new clerk at the desk whom had absolutely no clue about what had transpired earlier. No one left a note, an email NOTHING! She called Sophie in front of me and this girl swear she knew nothing of this!!! Basically we were stuck in this room again without a functional shower/tub. I am livid at this point because before this incident I swore by this brand of hotels. Everywhere I travel I only stay at Hilton!! Please avoid this hotel because if you have any issue they will lie to your face and will not resolve anything!! I really wish I could give them...
