I work in the mall and eat here regularly for lunch. I love this place! Hefty servings make the prices fair enough. Food is always very flavorful and service is quick & polite.
Update: After giving this place a good year of eating here regularly since they opened on Christmas Eve 2022, I'd say it's pretty inconsistent as far as food quality and customer service goes. Their food is pretty flavorful but depending on day and time of day, it might be pretty dry and/or not flavorful at all. The beans are never rinsed so I've gotten rice bowls drenched in black bean juice/sauce... The flan has no flavor whatsoever. The prices aren't too crazy, however if you want to change or add things it can get expensive and add up super quick. I also prefer ordering over the phone as they offer a mall employee discount, however they disconnected their phone a few months ago so I have begun ordering online. I can't wait in store for my food as I typically order while on break from work so I have to order online instead and can't use the discount there. I find that problematic as well if you can't reach them in regards to order issues. Staffing can also be inconsistent as far as customer service goes. When the male manager Jose is on duty everyone is happy, service is quick and food quality is good. When the woman manager is on duty (idk her name she is blonde), everyone seems miserable and has an attitude. Service is slower and quality is worse. Management also frequently parks on the...
Read moreSTAY AWAY, RUDE STAFF AND BLAND FOOD. I’m not afraid to give the timestamps of when I went, on Wednesday August 13th at 2:30pm… I was excited to try this restaurant out. It was fully empty and music was very loud. I ordered at the kiosk by myself. Food was very bland, queso tasted like it was watered down. I got a burrito and tacos. Both lacked any flavor. I bought a house lemonade and refilled it with soda after. I went to the counter to ask if they sold churros. The lady was VERY rude and cold. She said yeah… so I told her they are not listed on the kiosk. She ignored my remark. Then I asked if I could order two and I did. Later she came out with the ‘churros’ and said we cannot refill the lemonade with the sodas. I told her I’ll leave the drink as I had only taken a sip from it. Save yourself from the soda because they cheap out on the syrups in their machine. There was no Diet Coke taste in the soda anyways, I was happy to leave it at the restaurant. The staff woman was young and had light brownish hair in a ponytail. No kindness and she made a face as if she were in a mood the whole time. Would not recommend to anyone. I threw out majority of my burrito as well. I attached a picture of the ‘churros’. They were not even fully cooked inside or golden brown on...
Read moreAfter watching a movie, I felt like something light and Sombrero Tacoria looked like the right kind of place. The manager at the counter was very helpful in pointing out all the vegetarian options - well, actually only one veggie "protein" option - sauteed mushrooms, and he recommended the taco trio for a light lunch. The place had recently been redecorated so everything looked bright and clean. Their homemade lemonade was delicious. The tacos, while nicely done and presented, felt a bit too greasy. Orange-colored oil dripped down and pooled in the box. It smelled so much like bolognese sauce that I began to suspect that they cooked the mushrooms in beef fat ... Luckily I didn't get sick, as I usually would if I had consumed food that touched meat. I'd return for other vegetarian options, but may stay away from the...
