This is a casual, nice, modern cafe with a subtle vibe. They offer breakfast/brunch-style foods, tons of snacks, desserts, a cooler with drinks, coffee, and smoothies. They are even generous enough to offer free popcorn. The staff is super helpful, respectful, and eager to assist, which is awesome. The owner is a polite, respectful, friendly, and overall kind individual who is open to food suggestions, ideas, or recommendations. My dad and I ordered a chipotle panini to split and swapped out the pepper jack cheese with provolone, which was nice to make it less spicy since my dad cannot handle spice as much. My dad and I both enjoyed the chipotle panini; it was not at all spicy and more flavorful. I felt the fresh tomatoes, onions, and spinach complimented the panini very well. The chicken was not too crispy and not too soggy. Overall, it was enjoyable. I ordered a rainbow bagel cut in half with two different cream cheeses, the jalapeño and olive cream cheese. The jalapeño cream cheese was not at all spicy. The olive cream cheese was tasty and a bit saltier than I expected. Despite this, it was still delicious. Now, the cranberry muffin was soft and fluffy. The taste was not overpowering. It also had a hint of buttery taste, which was nice. All in all, the experience was quite splendid. I definitely plan to come back to try their...
Read moreTake a close look at your receipt. My wife and I have both been coming here 2 or 3 times per week since they opened. The food is decent enough but at the last visit, my wife noticed that they were adding a 4% surcharge even when paying with cash. She asked what the charge was for and the worker said "it's to pay for the machine." He couldn't say which machine or why it was being charged. But that is it for me with the Bagel Barn. The surcharges now being commonly charged by restaurants for credit cards are obnoxious and now if you're going to charge me 4% even when paying in cash, I'm done with you. The money is inconsequential, but I don't like being nickel and dimed with nonsense. I will go to Zimi or Cathy's...
Read moreNice little spot I discovered while charging up my vehicle at the nearby EvGo charging station. I looked up coffee and it was the closest. The bathrooms were clean and I grabbed a bagel as well, since they also looked good. Glad I did because the bagel reminds me of Bagel Hole in Brooklyn where I used to go years ago--not too big but great texture--and the cream cheese spread was generous. I don't live anywhere nearby, which is why I needed a public charger, but it's great to know this place is here if I ever need a coffee/bagel/bathroom pit stop again...
