Went here for the first time last night (01/10/25) for our 16th anniversary. Husband’s co worker recommended Ruby’s to him because of their sangria’s. We were unsure of the food and had low expectations. We are VERY PICKY people and have HIGH FOOD STANDARDS! Ruby’s BLEW US AWAY! First of all: The atmosphere is so perfect, it’s cozy, has a nice intimate vibe, there is a back room that allows for a more private setting if you want. The tables are laid out nicely and the decorations create just a chill vibe. Secondly, the staff are very accommodating, friendly, kind and very attentive. We were greeted and served immediately. We went at 6 which was the start of Happy Hour. We ordered (2) Red Sangria’s and they were delicious. Had a fantastic flavor and nicely portioned. We ordered the pulled pork sliders, mild wings, beef empanadas and chicken empanadas. The pulled pork sliders were made with a bbq pulled pork, coleslaw, pickle and cheese and came on a toasted slider. There were (3) in the order and they were RIDICULOUS when it came to flavor. The combination of the pulled pork, coleslaw and pickle was out of this world. I did not expect that. Hands down the wings were the best wings we have ever had. Not only do they serve the wings separated on the plate (legs from straights) but they were fried to perfection, the sauce was beyond outstanding as far as the balance of heat. The wings were perfect ratio of meat to bone, not too small and not too big. The empanadas were fresh and came out piping hot. My husband was in love with the chicken empanadas, they were literally dripping with juice because that’s how juicy they were. I enjoyed the beef empanadas. The dough tasted homemade. We ordered the chocolate molten lava cake for dessert. (Hubby didn’t eat too much of it because of lactose allergy) but I did! It was OUTSTANDING!
He also ordered a pina colada that was so large and tasted great.
I promise you, we found a place we can come to for drinks and a quick bite. We don’t go out often because we are always disappointed but Ruby’s is...
Read moreI came here with my boyfriend and some friends; they just opened up and I have to say wow! I am truly blown away. Not only is their service impeccable and attentive, their food is memorable, delicious and lick your fingers good. They are only serving virgin drinks but don't let that deter you from trying their virgin piña coladas or virgin strawberry daiquiri ( they were phenomenal). I can only imagine how great the drinks will be once they begin serving liquor. They do have a small menu for now, but they do have some off menu items and they are great at accommodating to requests. We ordered several appetizers and they were all great. The wings were delicious, crispy, & saucy; the mozzarella sticks were great and their marinara sauce also delicious, the chicken quesadilla, also great. Now, for each entree you get an option of a side salad or soup. I opted for the pasta fagioli and it was extremely flavorful. They also serve warm bread with their homemade oil garlic sauce which was delectable. All of the entrees ordered: chicken Francese, chicken parm, penne a la vodka, & steak w/ mashed potatoes were enjoyed by our group and the portions were great and reasonably priced. For anyone looking for a great meal, don't sleep on this place just because they're new. You won't regret it! I will definitely return even if I'm not in the area....
Read moreThis place is a new favorite! We got there when it opened on a snowy Sunday, and it was such a cozy and welcoming experience. The staff were kind, helpful, professional and attentive, truly a picture of service. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, you felt right at home. Even the music was lots of fun, it’s just such a vibe at Ruby’s. The drinks were perfect and so yummy, and the food was absolutely excellent. It was all clearly made fresh to order, each item was cooked perfectly with balanced flavors, bursting with freshness and consideration. I’ve never seen stuffed mushrooms with this combination, they can often be soggy and breadcrumb laden, but these were a refreshing and distinctive take on an old classic. The empanadas were flaky and juicy (a tough balance to strike!) and my partner loved them. The tostones with pernil with mouthwatering, I almost got a second order. I’ve had some trouble finding Caribbean food in this area after living in Brooklyn for years, and Ruby’s is an absolute star. The prices were also very reasonable! Overall this was a perfect dining experience and I sincerely look forward to returning to this fine...
