I happened to be in New city with a friend and we were both attracted by the menu they have posted on their window. We both really liked that they had some healthier options like wraps, salad bowls, rice bowls and pita bread sandwiches & the prices looked on the average and reasonable end for a spot in new city. It was a cute spot with a environmentally friendly vibe. I tried their falafels and let me tell you they were so good the best I've had so far. They had a nice crunch and so flavorful on the inside, which I really enjoyed with their hummus. My friend got the Kiki on pita and she said she loved it. We both thought their food was delicious and I really liked their hummus so on a whim even though I don't eat very spicy but can tolerate it I decided to get some of their jalapeno hummus with some of their pasta chips they have on their front counter. I was a little skeptical because I had never heard of or seen pasta chips but ohmygosh it was so good. Such a great snack with the hummus which actually wasn't all that spicy to me.    Read moreThis place just screams 'Italian American'. The food products and paraphernalia that line the walls and shelves are very much Italian. The food is every inch American, big, bold and in your face.
The sandwiches are huge and overstuffed. That sentence doesn't quite do them justice. The ingredients list boast Italian staples such as meatballs, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, eggplant and chicken cutlets (if you ever had Nonna chicken cutlets, you'd know why chicken cutlets are Italian) in combinations and portions that celebrate the American love for BIG. I found this place by accident, I'm about 40 minutes away from here. But I will be back. If you are looking for a truly incredible gastronomic experience that will have you saying 'mama mia!', then give this...
Read moreThis restaurant was listed under a Greek section of restaurants so we thought that we were going to be getting some Greek food specifically. Well this is a new millennial take on that. They had Gyro pork gyros but no other meat gyros available. I had a salad with some vegetables that I thought was very good and they had many interesting sauces. My husband had to add a big dish that he wasnât as happy with and he said that if he was really looking for Greek food he would probably go somewhere that had true real Greek food. On the other hand there was food that was carefully labeled what was gluten-free what was vegan and the owner came out personally to ask for any input that we had on the meals or any advice and we thought that was really special to take...
