I recently visited Circle Pizza & Halal Market, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First off, the service was incredibly disappointing. Upon entering, I felt ignored as the staff seemed preoccupied with their own conversations rather than attending to customers. The man at the counter, who appeared to be of Afghani descent, greeted me with an impatient glare instead of a friendly welcome. When I asked for recommendations, his dismissive tone made me feel unwelcome and rushed. It was disheartening to feel as though my presence was an inconvenience. After finally placing my order, I was met with a long wait time that left me frustrated. When I inquired about my food, the staff appeared annoyed rather than apologetic. This kind of customer service is unacceptable and completely ruined my dining experience. When the food finally arrived, it was a letdown. I ordered the chicken over rice, which I had heard good things about, but what I received was bland and unappetizing. The chicken lacked seasoning and was dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The rice was overcooked and mushy, and the white sauce was tasteless—definitely not what I expected from a place that promotes itself as a halal market. Additionally, there were issues with order accuracy. I had requested extra sauce on the side, but it was missing altogether. Instead of the lamb and chicken combo I ordered, I received a single chicken plate that tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. The salad that accompanied my meal was soggy due to being mixed with hot food in one container—an unappetizing presentation that further diminished my appetite. To top it all off, the ambiance of the establishment felt chaotic and unwelcoming. The market aspect seemed cluttered, making it hard to focus on enjoying a meal. Overall, my experience at Circle Pizza & Halal Market was disappointing enough that I won't be returning anytime soon. Despite having high hopes based on other reviews, this visit left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied due to both poor service and lackluster...
Read moreCircle Pizza & Halal Market is truly a culinary revelation in the capital region. I was looking for something for dinner with my spouse, and we decided to change things up from our usual fare and get Halal tonight.
We weren't prepared for what was about to happen. Circle Pizza & Halal Market is an unsung hero and a diamond in the rough. Clearly their passion is for creating delicious meals at an affordable price and in generous servings, but to focus on any of these elements is really missing and glossing over the unbelievable QUALITY of the food.
We have tried several different items on the menu, if it is your first time I strongly recommend the chicken and gyro combo plate, and ask for hot sauce on the side.
We're talking incredibly juicy and savory, seasoned flavor of the tender meat, covering mountains of fresh rice cooked with peppers and onions - all covered with the famous Halal white sauce with a creamy and subtle flavor. A stroke of absolute genius is the small salad included with the dish, a bite of fresh cucumber, lettuce, or tomato adding a sweet coolness to offset the delicious meat and heat of the hot sauce I hope you added!
The flavor and quality of Circle Pizza & Halal Market is so unbelievable and out of this world, we now have no choice but to eat here once or even twice a week. I went so far as to recommend it to my boss and get it delivered to the office! He is a foodie who dines on all types of global food, he's seen it all and little can surprise him. But he was absolutely stunned and blown away by the outrageous quality and clear love that went into making the number one restaurant in...
Read moreWell, you found a way to lose a regular customer. I ordered take-out the other night. When I went to pay I mentioned I had the Clipp deal. The older man who was at food counter told me he didn't know anything about it. I showed him the deal and he continued to give me a hard time about using it. He said the boss is not around. After going back and forth he took my phone out of my hand and brought another worker over to take a picture of it. My suggestion is if you are going to use coupon, train your staff how to accept them.
Fast forward to last night. My wife and decided to save the meals for tonight. We noticed the white sauce, which we asked for on the side, was not included. So, I stopped in to grab some. The same older man was at the counter again. I was very polite and mentioned we didn't receive the white sauce. He told me it would be $.50. I said it was supposed to be with our order. He told me he didn't care and I had to pay for it. I asked if he was serious and he said "Yes". I told him that it was their mistake, so I should not be responsible for paying. He finally asked a coworker to get me some.
Absolutely horrible customer service. The food was decent, but we will never go back after those two experiences. There are plenty of other Halal restaurants in the area. Learn how to treat paying customers...
