I love their products, however, I have only been twice and my second time I was over charged by $15. I went to browse around my twelve year old during the evening because she had been asking to check it out. We spent more time there then expected and they announced they were closing, so we went and cashed out. The cashier was typing in the price of each items rather than scanning them, which I thought was weird, but I don't know how this place runs as I had only been once before. I don't know if that is the way they do things or not. When she told me my total it was much higher than I had anticipated, but I felt guilty for being there so close to close and didn't want to hold up the line, and thought maybe I had just bought more than I realized. I checked the receipt at the car as quite as I could so that I could try to figure it out and maybe go talk to someone. I noticed an item that was 12.96 and knew there was nothing I bought that expensive, so I thought maybe there was items that were rung up that weren't mine, as I know that happens from time to time. I went in and told a cashier that had no one in line that I was just at the register next to her and was charged for some items I didn't get. She wouldn't even look at the receipt and told me that "I couldn't just take your word for it" and that she didn't know what to do for me. She said the manager "was over there, but now he's locking the doors" but that I could ask him if I wanted. This manager looked miserable everytime I saw him since we had first walked in, never greeted anyone, smiled at anyone, showed any interest in being there, and generally looked unapproachable. In my many years of expert in customer service, the appropriate thing to do would be to check the situation out and call the manager over if unable to help, not basically state that he's busy but I can ask him if I want. So, I left. I looked over the receipt again when I went back to the car to try and figure it out. I counted the amount of items I had and compared, and they were the same. But thank realized the item that was $12.96 was a piece of candy that was supposed to be $1.99, so when she was typing in the prices she must have made an error. The other thing that was wrong was that I bought a mug that was $5.99 was supposed to be half off. So between the added tax and how much I was over charged, I lost about...
Read moreWhat am amazing store. Hidden treasure in plain sight. My Sponsor is an artist 🎨, a poet, and a bodybuilder. I caught the bug. The mistakes are part of the artwork. Just like me. One day at a time, one moment at a time. Not perfection, but progression. Just like me. I never knew what a primed canvas was until my Sponsor shared with me. WHERE did I find the canvas primer? HERE at Hobby Lobby. No rushing, no addiction in this (unlike cheesecake 😆) Just Serenity. My coach gave me feedback and said - YES! Working on painting 🖼 ✨️ is like meditation (thank goodness. Those meditations on Spotify are boring!) I have learned to never rush it, just enjoy the process. Try multitasking painting and phone call? OOPS! (don't do that). Paint a 2nd letter before letting the 1st one dry? OOPS! (don't do this). My artwork may not be perfect (slowly getting better) but it is 100% AUTHENTIC (again just like me). What you see is what you get. I love HOBBY LOBBY. Another wonderful part of my Recovery journey. 08-17-25 Sober 540 days. Jim,...
Read moreI recently brought two concert posters in to have some custom framing done. This was the first time that I had done something like this, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful the employee was and how easy the process of designing the frame and matting was. She took her time with me to make sure that she knew what I was looking for and then she really delivered! You are able to see what your picture will look like once it is finished because while you pick out your matting colors, she takes a picture of your image and starts designing it in real time. So now you can actually see your finished product before you decide to pull the trigger. I know that I changed my matting color after seeing it on the screen with the poster. It gave me a chance to pick the right one and only pay for it once! They were having a 50% off sale on all of their custom framing, so the prices were very fair for the work that they did. I will definitely be back there to get more posters done...
