Cute place that is very clean with awesome decor. Set up is nice. I tried the zang zang bubble tea with almond milk. This was a little weird - it was just plain milk with a swirl or cup lining of the flavor syrup/purée I chose (taro). I don't care for it as the taro syrup or purée didn't mix well and most was left on the inside of the cup walls when I was done. They did accommodate my request for light ice though, which I appreciate. I also really hate the shape of their cups: the bottom is rounded, and makes for a really difficult time to get the tapioca pearls out.
I also ordered a 3-protein poke bowl. This was delicious! There's a previous review mentioning that there is no volume to the bowls and she left hungry - if you order 3 proteins OR order plenty of mix-ins/veggies and toppings (which are included unlimited for free) there is no way this will happen. I got a ton of food and it was heavy, and I saw them scoop all the portions. They give you plenty of food. Don't worry about that! A few oddities though: Most of the poke ingredients were diced, small diced, or julianned. However, the cucumber were peeled half-slices, which is weird and sort of slimy, definitely need to be a Julianne or a dice with the peel left on. Same with the avocado: these need to be diced. They are served as slices and both the avocado and cucumber sort of ruin the texture of the bowl as a whole. Also, the rice is scooped into a corner of the bowl, instead of spread evenly as a base. (I did take out, so I don't know if that was just for the take out box.)
But overall my bowl was delicious. Very fresh and plentiful. Staff was pleasant and kind - clean and refreshing atmosphere.
4/5 - I would return, but maybe not for bubble tea. or try a different kind. PS - someone in front of my ordered ramen, and when I saw them pick up their order, it...
Read moreI can't stop ordering bubble tea from here. I've had bubble tea a lot of places but for some reason this place makes me want to drink it all the time.
We ordered a bunch of different variations just to try all the different boba. My go-to is the Thai tea with the usual tapioca so it doesn't change the flavor of the tea. I also got the matcha Zang Zang which was delicious and I got that with tapioca as well. I highly recommend trying the yogurt boba as it tastes like pear when you pop it. My daughter who is younger loves the brown sugar and almond milk zang zang. We also tried a fruit tea which was delicious with some lychee boba.
We actually had a bad experience one of the times because our doordash driver didn't bring any straws when we had it delivered, but I called this place and they kindly called me back. They said they would fix it all and give me free drinks. Totally kind, as I never asked for anything like that. I only asked that they make sure to put straws in the bag for everybody else so they have a good experience. Many people are not as kind with reviews as I am. I had to drive to Walmart and find straws for six or seven teas 🤣
Either way, this place will be a regular...
Read moreI feel like this restaurant is in NYC or Montreal, not Latham, which is very cool. I saw the menu and had to try the rice salad bowl. I actually made a special trip to Latham for it because I had been sick and decided this was my revive me back to health meal. I a, so glad I was right to choose this. I chose the bowl with greens, rice, raw tuna, and many veggies and toppings. The selections were unlimited (except protein) which is my favorite way to do business. I hate it when toppings are charged by the each. Here, I can choose all I want. I was there before 3pm so there was a lunch special and I got a black tea with tapioca which is my favorite. Their special takes a couple dollars off the price. Make sure to join their loyalty program in app because I already have $1.50 in rewards after one visit. I can’t wait to go back. I got two meals out of the box too! I would love to sit and eat in next time, very aesthetically pleasing space ! You can make it any way you want !! Yeah for a new and affordable good...
