Marash Grill — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

Went to Marash for a friend's birthday lunch today. This is an order at the counter place with maybe eight tables for sitting that opened five or six weeks ago. Nothing fancy at all but the food was delicious and inexpensive. I got a rice bowl with chicken doner (the Turkish equivalent to shawarma) topped with cucumbers, seasoned chopped onions, and tomatoes. I choose shaksuka an appetizer. The rice bowl was lightly topped with his white sauce and hot sauce. My friend ordered a salad with the doner as her protein. The meals were $11.95 each; I believe . Everything was delicious! The pistachio baklava was excellent! Clearly made with butter.

Perhaps because we were the only ones there, the owner and chef, was very generous gifting us some tzatziki and hummus. Next time I go, I'll ask him if they are for purchase by themselves to bring home for the next day. The hummus was probably the best I ever...

I'm so glad I found Marash Grill! They truly deliver on their promise of "Fresh Halal Bites" with incredible flavor and speed. The 5-star rating is absolutely well-deserved.I ordered the Chicken Doner over yellow rice, and the portions were generous, the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the rice was fluffy and aromatic. You must try their white sauce—it pulls everything together!

Beyond the amazing food, the service here is top-notch. It's truly quick-serve but the staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience excellent. If you're looking for authentic, high-quality Mediterranean food that's also quick and affordable, this is your spot. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Great food and service. Went with two other friends at 9pm on a Tuesday night and were quickly served. We ordered three bowls, one with falafel, and they said it would be a few minutes since they make the falafel on the spot in the back. Food was flavorful and large portions for $11 each. Beats Chipotle, this is my new favorite Greek/Middle Eastern spot! The inside was clean and felt like a great place to dine - we would have stayed to eat inside if it was not so late in the evening. The owner even gave us a free extra portion of Tzatziki for us to try. 10/10 will be coming...
