Corporate cannot keep it together. They're closed tonight due to staffing, which is understandable. But there are no signs and corporate won't let them modify the hours in the mobile app: in short, you can place orders and it will never let you know it's closed. Taco Bell has seriously, as a whole, gone downhill. And don't try asking them for help bc they won't respond. I don't even think this is the franchisee's fault: it's the corporation. . They never ever ever seem to answer their phone. . So about a year ago I received an inedible grilled cheese burrito from Central Ave. It was so bad corporate gave me 3 $5 voucher coupons. I had to use them by 12/31/21, so this year, after always using the app (which has no option to redeem these or other coupons, forcing you to go inside) we made a concerted and planned effort to go to a different location (Wolf Rd, which we thought was better usually) and order inside to use up these annoying coupons.
This is background for how major my disappointment was after going to a location further away just to lessen the chance of everything getting screwed up. First thing; the posted menu had their value menu burritos priced at $2 but they rang up as $2.19, and no one would address this odd discrepancy. Okay, fine. We had a large order so we ordered straight except for my husband's fresco burritos to reduce confusion. Despite that, the cheddar chalupa wasn't made with the proper toppings and they missed an entire item, the chipotle chicken melt for my toddler. We had a few free taco coupons, also expiring; they were made so badly I had to lose bits of taco because they were melted to the paper, which was soaked through with grease.
The part that was most confusing? The manager didn't know a way to remove the $5 voucher coupons except by removing items. Originally, she only removed $5.18 from the order instead of $15, and had to be called back to issue a refund.
This is skating over the fact that it took nearly 5 minutes for someone to take the order at the counter when there were 5 on staff and only 2 cars in the drive thru. And then his mask was a chinstrap.
We had very very very low expectations. 2021 has seen a horrible year for Taco Bell, with them losing fresco, breakfast, and shredded chicken with not a single chicken burrito on the menu. It's only starting to bounce back but the quality is TERRIBLE. This was my favorite place and I can't bear to give up the trash I was raised on, but my husband keeps saying we should skip because it only makes us sad.
I miss you Taco Bell. Please make a NYE resolution to be better... (And bring back...

Ayo, I'm done with this place haha
Pulled up at 915pm and was told their screens are down and they can't take/make any orders.
Given the numerous times I've encountered that same issue here, I wasn't terribly surprised to hear this. But after tonight, I'm done with Taco Bell.
High prices. Horrible customer service. Dirty dining area.
**Edited to add today's experience 6/9/2024:
Placed an order thru the app. Pulled up to the drive thru at approximately 3pm. And without even greeting me, the worker stated there would be a "20-25 minute wait".
I responded that the wait was fine and asked whether I should wait in the drive thru or pull up in front of the store.
The employee sounded a bit surprised with my response and repeated that it would be a 20-25 minute wait. To which I responded again, that it is was fine.
After a brief silence from the employee, I told them I changed my mind and would cancel the order.
This isn't the first time I've encountered this respond at this location. But it will be the last as we will no longer frequent Taco Bell.
Saturday June 18, 2022 I pulled into the drive-thru at approximately 1215am.
I was greeted by a worker and then told that it would be an hour wait due to them having to cook the food. I then asked the employee what time they closed and she replied 1am.
I'm unsure of why it would take them an hour to cook food. Furthermore, the fact that I was told they will close at 1am essentially meant there was no chance I'd be receiving any food from them.
This location has been one of our go-to Taco Bell restaurants to order from. However, between this nonsense and the abysmal service at the North Greenbush Taco Bell, I'm going to take my...
Read moreI’ve noticed a recurring issue at this location, particularly during late-night visits, where orders are frequently incorrect, requiring customers to return for fixes.
On my recent visit, I ordered a #6 with a soft taco (no tomatoes) and paid extra to substitute chicken. Instead, I received two hard, cold chalupas and a hard-shell taco. When I asked for a correction, the staff was reluctant to assist, and even after the fix, my soft taco still came with beef instead of the chicken I was charged for.
Additionally, I ordered two Beef Burrito Supremes but instead received two burritos with cheese, rice, red flakes, beef, and a white mystery sauce—nothing I’ve ever seen on the menu and certainly not what I ordered. On top of that, the tortillas were dry and crusty, likely reheated after sitting in the hot case. I did not eat them, they were very nasty. Given that a Beef Burrito Supreme costs about $6.50 each, I essentially paid $13 for two lower-quality burritos worth half that price. This feels like a scam, especially after working a 16-hour shift.
As someone with experience as a former Taco Bell shift lead and assistant manager, I recognize the challenges of staffing and training. I even applied for the GM position here because I see the potential for improvement. This location on Wolf Road has the opportunity to be great, but right now, it falls short of the high standards expected in this area. I hope the necessary steps are taken to improve food quality, order accuracy, and...
