Expected more from the steak. Ribeye at Texas Roadhouse... Shouldn't go wrong normally. I usually go to the Queensbury location. This place was just...off. not the norm for the brand. Shame. Nothing particular, but the steak was blase, not up to par. -- UPDATE: Even worse now! It's been two years so we thought we'd try again. I didn't think it could get worse, but it did. Came for our anniversary dinner. Big mistake. Order: 14 oz Ribeyes, medium. One came out the more well done end of medium well, the other was dried out and clearly overly well done. Not only that, but the steaks were thinner than they used to be. Honestly pathetic for a higher cut ribeye with a premium price point. Our server sat us, brought our drinks, took our order and we never saw her again until 8 minutes after the food was served (incorrectly). The server never asked if we were celebrating anything. We sat in a corner and heard literally 7 other servers ask their guests that question as they were walking to their seats. It's supposed to be a thing here. The different food runners that delivered salad and chili and never took our plates out the way when food was delivered. We were offered more bread at one point, but it never came. Drinks were never refilled nor asked. I routinely cut into a steak first thing as it's delivered. But the food runners ran off before I finished cutting into my clearly overdone steak. When our server finally came back to the table, she noticed it was well done before she even finished asking how things came out. The experience at this location is horrid and undeserving of what is otherwise a normally good chain. Stay away from the Colonie location. Go to one of the other competitors nearby or drive up to Queensbury.

After hearing so many great reviews of Texas Roadhouse, I finally went last night for dinner and the place was packed. The waitresses were super nice. You also get free refills for any non-alcoholic beverages. I was very disappointed for the Main Course. For appetizers we got the Blooming Onion with Cajun Sauce and the combo appetizer with Potatoe Skins, Mozzarella Sticks and Boneless Wings. They also gave us Rolls with their Cinnamon Butter. I enjoyed the appetizers way more then the main course. The Blooming Onion was the first one I've ever tried and it was delicious. Their rolls are very delicious with the Cinnamon Butter. We ordered the Blackberry lemonade and it was really good too. For the Main Course I ordered the Ribeye 12oz Steak with Ribs and for the side I ordered loaded mashed potatoes and green beans. I ordered a medium rare steak and when it came out half of the steak was RAW. A waitress helped me out and sent it back, they cooked it again and when it came out it was medium well and tasted to much like liquid smoke or charcoal. The ribs fell off the bone but were very dry in taste. The green beans tasted like canned beans with added bacon bits and liquid smoke. The loaded mashed potatoes had too much butter, too much sour cream and had no taste. I was really looking forward to coming here for a long time. I was extremely dissatisfied and won't be going back again. The only thing we ate from our entrée was the steak. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 just because the appetizers were good and the waitresses were nice. -My518 Food

Pulling in to the parking lot of Texas Roadhouse was in of it's self jaw-dropping. The amount of vehicles gave me every inclination that I hit the jackpot of restaurants. I walked in the doors and it was so full that people were swished, lol, because they wanted to be. The smell was amazing ... Couldn't wait to be seated. There was a waiting list, so I gave them my phone number and they would text when a seat was available. They welcomed me to sit at the bar till such time if I was so inclined, which I was because the atmosphere was phenomenal. Got my text for my seat, I can only say "I was starving". Came there in anticipation of their Cactus Blossom, they did not disappoint. I also got a full rack of ribs that came with 2 sides, and my friend got a ribeye, also with two sides. We both got the house salad, can I say outstanding! Freshly made croutons and dressing, and a nice size portion. The other sides we ordered were a sweet potato and a baked potato. They also have unlimited fresh baked rolls with their signature butter. I could only finish about ⅓ of my meal so I took it home. The hostess that we had was named Tanya, she was very kind, patient, helpful and right on top of her game. Amazing hospitality and atmosphere all the way around. And for all the food and drink that we had the price was exceptionally reasonable. I would highly recommend Texas Roadhouse in Albany! I'm going to make a monthly trip there from now on. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯

Went here with my mom and husband for the first time and I was less than impressed. Now while we knew there would be a little wait (which we waited a bit over the amount we were told) I wasn't overly worried about it. However.. The waitress that helped us out... Very rude, short and impatient with us which was highly annoying. She was quick to come to greet us and give us the bread for the table which was nice but things went downward from there. She waited at least +10 minutes to even ask us if we wanted an appetizer & another+10 to ask us after the appetizer came and we basically ate it all to ask if we were ready to order. Then it took her at least 10 minutes to bring us our drinks, okay let that slide. But then I took 2 sips of my strawberry daiquiri and asked for something else, not only was she annoyed by the request but she actually charged us for it still!! Now mind you also had seen her pass us a few times before actually bringing me the replacement drink I requested and she basically just shrugged her shoulders about it (it took basically another 10 minutes to get that drink at which point I was quite annoyed). THEN, we finally get our food and she asked with an attitude in her voice 'is there anything else?' Didn't know we couldn't ask for a refill on my drink and some more bread without getting huffed at though... Now let's get into the food though.. I specifically asked for medium well which according to the menu says a little pink in the insides.. Mine was well done and just did not taste good. Also got the Mac & cheese & baked potato loaded.. Disappointed to say the least. The mac and cheese tasted like it wasn't fully cooked, the bacon on both tasted HORRIBLY processed, and the potato itself tasted earthy which usually means it should have been thrown away.. Again, not impressed with any of this...
