After reading the reviews I was very skeptical about going here but my boyfriend and I decided to give it a chance. We were promptly seated and had the choice to sit inside or in the indoor patio. We chose to sit on the patio which was perfect because we were able to get the fresh air coming in. The restaurant was very clean which I was nervous about because when it was Umami I went there and found hundreds of dead flies in the window, but this time it was spotless! Service was a little slow which was understandable since there was only one server. Drinks were SOOO yummy and strong. We got the queso fundido with chorizo for an appetizer which was mouth watering. I ordered the steak salad bowl which came in a giant fried tortilla, the steak was ok but my boyfriend seemed to love it (I could have used more seasoning). He ordered the enchiladas which he devoured in minutes. I would definitely recommend trying this place regardless of what the other reviews say. They are still new and could use some minor improvements, but with time this place will...
Read moreFirst I would like to say, I really enjoy to food here. By far one of the better places to eat in the area, I have gotten their burritos which are a whopping 15 dollars!!! and their taco bowls which come out to about 13. The prices, to me, are a little high. Which is one reason for the 3 stars. On top of that, today I asked for a side of pico de gallo, they charged me $3 for a 4oz cup of pico. mind you a 4oz cup is not very big and 3 dollars is rather steep as for 5 dollars at a store I can get a big jug of it.. that was disappointing. Their burritos come with beans rice pico sour cream etc inside them, but then on the side it comes with rice and beans?? so weird and when i asked if i could have just the burrito instead of the combo or whatever, they said no it would be the same price?? idk I like the food, but the prices are too high, and the logic is not all there lol. Another reason for the 3 stars.. I waited 20 min for my take out order, i like to walk in and order to see their time frame... 20 min is far too long for a taco salad bowl and a...
Read moreReally Really wanted to like this new restaurant in Croton - we went expecting high quality great Mexican food as there is alot of good competiton In the area. The menu was blah and appeared overpriced for Mexican food. So we picked some easy staples. However, what we got was an hour long wait for fish tacos and a beef quesadilla. Then when the first dish arrived there was 10 mins before the secong dish was delivered to the table. Both were sub par - 3 small fish tortillas for $15 you would expect high quality fresh at $5 per tortilla but no this was what looked like store brought fish sticks and minimal content lacking any finesse. The beef quesadilla was tough and chewy The margaritas were small and weak compared with local competitors.
My dining companion agreed we will not be back with so many better choices in the area for...
