Subway — Restaurant in Town of East Greenbush

I wasnt going to post this, but i see that someone else had the same exact thing happen to them. I pulled in last night (4-15-24) at 8:49pm (i remember looking to make sure it wasnt 9pm) to get a box of cookies for my sick daughter. But when i got to the door it was locked. I was confused because it was at least 10mins b4 they close according to the times literally listed on the locked door. It was also confusing because there were still TWO customers eating at tables inside. So i knocked on door but BOTH of the employees ignored me. Then i yelled in through the crack "i only want cookies, and i can see there are still plenty in the case". But they still ignored me. Then i kept knocking and said "its not 9pm" and then finally the one woman looked at me and just pointed at her watch (as if that made ANY sense). Even the customers felt bad bc they could hear me. If you guys are going to lock the doors 15 MINS b4 it says that you close, you should really post that so people dont drive 30mins to get there ON TIME just for your lazy employees to lock the door and ignore customers. This is why these people dont deserve...

We come in every so often when we're a little to tired to cook up something at home, and the staff here are always friendly and professional- I've never had an experience here where anyone was less than lovely. I know this location gets a lot of online orders which can be difficult to deal with on top of a steady flow of walk-in customers, so I'm always impressed with the customer service here. One younger gentleman in particular is just SO good, we've seen him a couple of times and he's always pleasant and makes fantastic subs and even has recommendations. I didnt happen to catch his name but he was there around 6pm ish on Sunday 9/7. I know working food service isn't the most glorious or rewarding gig (I say this as a veteran food service worker, lol) but when you're doing something full time it helps to take a little pride in what you do and bring that energy into whatever line of work you're in at the time. I love coming into this subway I get a veggie delight wrap. I really enjoy the rapport this one particular employee has. She embodies a true sandwich artist. I always see her it's like she lives there. She is highly efficient yet doesn't make it sloppy so it looks as good as it tastes. She obviously empowers her co workers for greatness. Today I watched her and two younger employees with less skill get slammed with a huge line out the door. She aced It like a champion. Despite the two clearly inexperienced young boys working with her who kept getting flustered and making mistakes she, like a true boss helped them along. When they were making mistakes, she showed them how not to, and explained how to correct it. I love seeing good people empower other people to...
