Located just steps away from the Crestwood train station, The Bagel Loft is a quintessential neighborhood deli that feels like a local institution. The space is warm and inviting with a charmingly old-school vibe—exposed brick walls, retro signage, and a mix of counter seating and booths that encourage lingering.
What really stands out here is the staff’s attentiveness. Knowing I was racing the clock to catch a train, the team checked in multiple times to make sure my sandwich would be ready in time.
The menu is broad—classic water-boiled bagels, hearty breakfast sandwiches, Boar’s Head deli selections, paninis, and even a salad bar and homemade soups. There’s also a wide variety of drinks and Shkreli coffee on tap, which seems to be a popular local brand.
I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a roll. It was satisfying and exactly what you’d expect, though not anything gourmet. Prices, however, do lean on the higher side for a small-town bagel shop.

Read moreI'd like to say, I love this place, good food, nice staff etc... HOWEVER, they have a weird checkout process that makes no sense - you tell the person your order, they begin preparing it, then I walk to the cashier to pay while I wait for my order, and they ask "what did you have" - now I just said the entire order to the first person, they don't pass the order to the cashier? so now I repeat everything all over again, this is time consuming... there are times that we have sat and ate our food, then walk back to the line of people to wait to pay, then get to the cashier and have to tell them what to ring up... I don't understand why the first person doesn't have an order pad or a system that passes my order to the cashier so it can move things along quicker - other than that, great place, friendly staff, and good food - just pointing this out because i feel they can improve the flow with a better check...

I gave the benefit of the doubt and stayed long enough but sadly I walked out.
P.S. A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. M. G. and we are willing to wait but greeting and acknowledging...
