UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES Workman came to âdiagnoseâ the problem for a 95.00 non refundable fee which was clearly explained and agreed to by us. Upon completion of the assessment, the workman explained that he could repair it for about 800-900 dollars or we could buy a new built-in Thermador refrigerator for $12,000. We opted for repair. Two visits later and no repair success, the senior technician said that itâs not fixable and Christina the owner will âlikelyâ reimburse us for the cost of the unsuccessful repair. Many months later and multiple email requests mostly unanswered by the owner, Christina Mucci, there was a 400.00 reimbursement given of our 1000 dollar payment. They were kind enough to offer suggestions over the phone that could save me money by fixing it myself, even if it meant losing out on business. When I eventually decided itâs best to just have their repairman come and take a look himself, he came earlier than expected, fixed the issue within 5 minutes, and didnât even charge me any labor fees (just the initial travel and consultation fees that they told me about from the start).
