Tonight was it for me. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of the music. 19 years working in fine dining so I know what’s what. I’ve noticed the last few times coming in,the place is empty. I’m usually in I’m during prime times. 9 employees behind the register/ I’m the only customer and was completely ignored/ two employees were hugging / 2 employees talking about previous customers and using foul language. I’m going out on a limb here, your staff are Albanian…. 1995 called, they want their dining room back.. I will say that when I do go in, the pizza makers are always running around. All those guys are very hard workers and all speak English and the pizza is always consistent. The staff (non pizza makers )aren’t friendly and didn’t even look over when I walked it. They were all standing around/ dirt on tables/ salt and pampers were a mess/ pizza boxes were low. Tons of things to do,. Didn’t look like a manager was around.. 8pm on a Saturday and not a soul in the place kinda tells you that what I’m saying in this review, others agree. People would rather do Yale out then sit in and hear staff talking like that. I’m sure people don’t like seeing a male and female staff touching each other. It’s disgusting/ FYI I’m driving up 9 and seeing the bulk of restaurants parking lots full. I did notice other things that I won’t mention but my advice is completely free. I’d be more then happy to come in and teach your staff the absolute very first 2 rules of the restaurant business. 1. When a customer comes in, great them with a warm smile and a hello. 2. Absolutely no cursing or touching other staff in plain view. Best part after they were done hugging and touching, I didn’t see anyone wash hands. It felt very weird being inside for a few minutes/ watching and hearing all this and one of the pizza makers asked me if I was being helped. I’m sure his job is to make pizza and the other 5 people are to help customers. You’re very lucky to have those guys. I’m very blunt: extremely knowledgeable in all things restaurant/ I don’t hide behind a made up name. . If you like not seeing customers eating inside, do nothing. You have no competition at the fishkill location and that is the ONLY reason your Togo business is busy. Which just gave me a great idea. Thinking about it, I’m really shocked you don’t have a good pizza place around there with all the hotels/ gap/ 84. The 2 other pizza spots, I’d rather eat cat food then their pizza. Update your room/ market smart/ train your staff on the basics and I can assure you business...
Read moreWe had a party of 10 to celebrate my niece’s graduation from West Point, and because a family member was staying near Fishkill and had eaten @ Antonella's Pizzeria & Restaurant the previous night, they strongly suggested that Antonella’s was where we had to celebrate.
We were taken very good care of by Sean, who knew all of the dishes, clearly described how they were prepared, and you could tell he was confident in every recommendation being made.
We had 3 different pasta plates family style, 3 different pizzas, a few individual choices mixed in, 3 to 4 different deserts, and everything was fantastic (I had a grilled salmon on linguini that was incredibly well prepared and juicy down to the last bite!).
I have had Italian food in multiple restaurants coast to coast (I live in California) my wife has had Italian cuisine in Italy (her sister lives there) and I must say the food we had @ Antonella’s was the best, better than some that charge much higher...
Read moreHonestly, I was underwhelmed. I went in with a friend of mine while we were out and about. We sat down at a time while the restaurant was basically empty but still had to wait almost 15 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, because it is a possiblility that we were supposed to go up to the counter to order, but if that's the case, I wish it was clear. She ordered a plain slice while I ordered a slice of sicilian. The food came out in a decent time, but the napkins and utensils were tossed onto the table, which was incredibly off-putting. The food was classic pizza done well, which I truly appreciated and enjoyed. Unfortunately, when I was time to pay, the waiter yet again tossed the check onto the table and onto a dirty plate, to which I had to work around a greasy recipt in order to pay. I respect this establishment for being a classic staple of Hudson Valley pizza, but I personally will not be...
