Beyond amazing, best Culver's ever!
Updated review I wrote the below 6 years ago but wanted to add the above and this section in stars. I visit this Culver's when in the Appleton area. Today was by far an exceptional experience. Exactly the reason I'll now go out of my way to frequent this specific location more in the future. Today, Mary went behind and above to make sure she showed great service to myself and my small boys. My son had an appointment with an eye doctor today and was wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes following dilation. She helped take care of my trays and asked about his glasses and took time to listen. She gave my sons special Scoopie stuffies. It absolutely made the experience so unique and really touched my heart as well as my 3 year old who had just had a hard time at the doctor. Thank you so much!! We enjoy Culver's very much. The hardworking team well maintains a clean and happy atmosphere. The food is definitely American...which is good in moderation. You may also enjoy a salad if you are needing a healthier option. Or go bunless. The employees are accommodating and can help with allergy or diet needs when prompted. We really like the burgers, fries, cheesecurds, etc...and I cannot leave out their signature item, their custard! We are glad when we can make stops at Culver's for an occasional treat or when we don't feel like cooking. If you're in a pinch, they offer snack pack meals from around $5 to $6 and if you fill out the survey in the restaurant you may use the code to sometimes get a free scoop of custard (just read the receipt to see what the deal is, so.sometimes it's for value basket discounts, etc..but my overall experience is that it's usually for a free scoop)! They also offer great kids meals for reasonable prices..with a free scoop of custard and coupons to save up for cool gear items. Our toddler likes the icecream and we are saving up for a shirt! We enjoy that they have bibs to help with the mess of a toddler. Or if you just want to be silly..or if you have on that really nice shirt or blouse and don't mind the confounded looks you get..all for the greater...
Read moreI really hate rating a one star to places, especially since I also work at a Culver's but this place was something else. They were pretty slow the day I went in. The manager was up front taking orders which initially was great to see. But even she was slow. Everything in the dining area seemed clean, tables wise. The lighting seemed a little dim and gloomy, which seemed odd because it was sunny and 70 degrees out in the middle of October! (I remember cause it was my birthday) I had asked for a cup of soup in replacement of my fries, because I was also going to get a side of onion rings. The lady charged me for all of the sides. She gave me fries with the basket, fries, AND onion rings! Now I admit I was hungry, but not THAT hungry! I ended up going up before leaving to get a little box for my tenders I had left over, a lid for my soup, and a bag for it all. The manager was busy taking an order and there were a few workers that clearly saw me, then turned their backs towards me and then continued talking to each other by the food shoots. Which would normally be fine, as long as the customer is taken care of first and if there was actually food that was being sent down! The manager ended up being the one to help me again, and she was kind and willing to help. They also weren't all wearing the same thing....Some wore their curd nerd shirts, others had their regular uniform on. The manager said they were allowed to wear their curd nerd shirts throughout that week. (Ours we could only wear it THAT day and we all wore it at the same time.) The food was still good, but the service needs...
Read moreQuick and quality dinner option. Culvers is the high end of fast food. There is a very big menu to choose from. The food is all delicious. The menu contains burgers, chicken, roast beef, fish, salads, fries, onion rings, cheese curds, and of course custard. There is lots of variety in the menu regarding each food. Culvers represents its home state of Wisconsin well with its abundance of cheese, and also the signature Wisconsin Melt Sandwich. Its a really good family reataurant, because there is no expectation of being fancy, but rather just being there to enjoy food and company. There is also a really nice family order of fries, to help families save money. Each day, there is a new custard flavor of the day, but also always chocolate and vanilla to choose from. There are also mixers in which you can pick either chocolate or vanilla custard, and then pick up to two mix ins out of there options of candy, fruit, and nut options. The building itself is very nice as well. The bathrooms are kept up well, and the whole restaurant is clean. There is just a welcoming and homey atmosphere around the place, for a fast food restaurant. Culvers also does a very good job of providing quality food from more localized farms, making it a bit more of a sustainable restaurant. Overall, a really good place to quickly enjoy a meal...
