Where to start… upon entering the young man who was ringing people up was in a foul mood. No manners what so ever. I tried to make light of the situation asking him if he was having a rough night. That got a smile out of him and a reply of yea I don’t want to be her I want to be home putting together my new legos. Went to go get a seat. Went to the far end over by the bathrooms it had a few empty table and what appeared to be 2 management staff were taking up 2 tables and a few tables in that area were just missing. Moved over to the other end of the building. Got a table, staff was prompt with getting our drinks (improvement from last visit) once we got our food and sat down noticed very quickly that it was freezing in that section. Like no heat freezing. Food… most food looked as it had been sitting a long while, chicken was dried out. Pizza undercooked, shrimp always empty, veggies over cooked to the point of mush. The meatloaf which my child normal Like was burnt on the bottom (black) and dried out. Pot roast empty, French fries dried out. Upon asking our server why it was so dang cold was told Because the owner is too cheap to fix the furnace. Seriously!!!! How do you expect people to want and come seeing your staff with coats on, paying customers to be cold, and the food mediocre at best. We use to like to come here for a variety something everyone could eat. At this point we will not be back not only cause with what you are changing for food that is not good, your staff should not have to work like that. Nor should paying customer have to wear their winter jackets while eating to try and stay warm. I don’t remember our servers name or the other gentleman that has worked there for a long time and always in good spirits please go somewhere that appreciates their staff. Shame on you Golden Corral for your lack of trying to having customer satisfaction along with a cozy work environment...
Read moreWent in for breakfast. Been trying to find a time when it's not so crowded. Sign said 11.99 per person but I was charged 31.00. Cashier said drinks weren't included. Ok whatever. My daughter really wanted corned beef hash, so we went and got our seat. Got plates, went to the buffet only to see nearly every single pan empty. Your choices were fried chicken (several people were complaining that this was bloody on the middle), breads, ham, nearly raw bacon, hard uncooked hash browns, very old and dry desserts, juice that was mostly water... I could go on and on. Very, very shocking. Went to the cashier and asked how they can charge so much money but not have any food. Her response? I can give you your money back and you can GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! WOW. So, asked for a manager. She said she was going to get the manager and a couple standing nearby said "us too"! When the manager came, she apologized, explained they were short people and asked the couple if she could make them something which they refused. They asked for a refund and the manager said "Did you eat?" To which the lady replied "barely! The chicken was raw, almost everything is empty, potatoes raw... we had pancakes but could get those for a dollar anywhere. " So miss manager stomped off and came back and refunded them. Meanwhile, I waited til she took care of them, even though I was the one who'd asked for a manager to begin with. I was really going to ask for some corned beef hash for my kid. But alas... when she finished with them she stormed past me and didn't even say a word. So we just up and left. Very sad the state of this place. I understand the staff shortage, but it wasn't our fault and the cashier being rude was totally uncalled for. Used to love this place. Don't think it would be a choice we make in the future. Maybe they should have stayed closed, this is gonna ruin what's left of their...
Read moreFirst off, the people that worked the tables and drinks were fantastic. They were friendly and dedicated to making sure we had what we needed. However the staff operating the registers upon walking we’re not the same. There were 2 lines, one for cash only and the other for card. We were in the card only line when the cash only attendant yelled at everyone in line. She stated that she wanted to help get things moving due to a coupon situation. Upon entering and walking up to the register she was still not pleased. When we handed her our debit card, she just about exploded. “This is a cash only line, why are you over here with this?” To which we replied, “You told everyone in the card line to come over here.” About this time what looked like a manager walked over and resolves said situation. We were seated after 20-25 minutes of waiting in line with two children under the age of 2. The food however was not worth the wait. I let my wife go and get food for her and my one and a held year old. And by the time I went up to get something I was very disappointed. The amount of people that they pack into that restaurant makes it a free for all. I can’t count how many people walked up, took a whole tray of food, and left. We are then left to wait “45min to an hour for more” stated one employee. For the 32 some dollars I paid to get in, I got some nasty noodles and burned meatloaf. I wish that when they shut down for Covid, they stayed closed. Never going again and I’m making sure anybody...
