Leaving a bad review is out of caracter for me but my recent experience with Sbarro has definitely made it very clear they will NEVER have my buisness again and unfortunately I am still having to deal with this.
My husband had stopped in to hopefully pick up dinner before he had to go to work that night. But they told him the wait for the food would be about 46 min but that it would be fresh. Knowing he had limited time I opted to just have it delivered so he could spent that time getting ready for work. I placed the order on the Sbarro website and it was to be delivered by a 3rd party. The order was confirmed and the store even pushed back the order delivery time, which was fine because of the prior conversation I figured it would be a bit. Well they ended up canceling the order I have been waiting over an hr for. The reason it was canceled said they didn't have the items I ordered. 1 pepperoni pizza 1 stromboli and some pasta and salad. When I called the woman that answered said she was the manager and confirmed for me the order was canceled because they didn't have anything I ordered. I told her I can understand some items might not be available but the main dishes should be no problem. She then asks another employee what the order even was. When she realized it was she said they were to busy to make it and didn't have it readily available. I advised her of my husband's prior visit and how they were willing to make it for him there why not for delivery when we are paying more for it. I even told her if you guys felt you weren't able to fulfill the order why make me wait so long. I would have been fine with that and ordered from somewhere else. But no instead I have hu gry people at my home waiting for over an hr to finally be told nope we don't have that. While speaking to the store manager I asked if I could have the area managers info so I could contact them she told me she was there and passed the phone to Selena she was completely rude and unprofessional not at all what you'd expect from an area manager. She said she would make the order but that I'd have to place the order online again in order for her to make it. I had originally asked if she could just use that same order since I'd have another hold on my card for the money she denied and said she would not make the order till I placed it again online. After hanging up I decided not to replace my order out of fear they might do something to my food and just purchased from somewhere else. Now I am seeing my bank account has been charged for the order, I expected a hold for a few days. My credit union shows pending then eventually will either remove the funds if the payment is confirmed or release the funds if it ultimately isn't confirmed. I my CU and confirmed then I called the Sbarro and got one of the woman I spoke to the previous day she advised me I would have to contact the 3rd party service and also advised she had made the order and I didnt go for it so I should be charged for it. I let her know I never replaced the order so she shouldn't have made it. Speaking to the 3rd party they advised me it's Sbarro who needs to issue the credit refund. They called and Sbarro to let them know, when they came back on the phone they also let me know the woman he had spoken to was very rude and advised she would not be issuing any refund but rather that he could advise me to fill out a request online through Sbarro. The 3rd party rep fet bad and submitted the request for me. We shall see if anyone cares how Sbarro "managment" is treating the customers or if they'll just ask me to fill out a comment or customer...
Read moreWe went as a group on December 27th. At 3:15, I tried to order a whole pizza. The girl wasn't sure if I could and asked the guy who was making it. He came over and said they didn't have the ingredients, and it would be two more hours! Well, there was enough made pizza of what I was going to order, so I asked if he would be willing to sell us a whole pizza with what they had made already (the whole pizza price vs. By the slice). I really didn't think this was an unreasonable request, seeing they didn't have the ingredients to complete our order. Well, he said no :(. About a half hour later, we then saw someone else walking away with a whole pizza box. I'm not sure if they paid the per slice price or if they somehow got a full pizza :/ Well, for being a pizza place, we were definitely bummed they didn't have the ingredients for a cheese pizza. And then disappointed they wouldn't honor the whole pizza price when they had...
Read moreA female worker named Sinclair was very rude. We had asked for some marinara sauce at the register for our breadsticks and she replied in a snappy tone, “we don’t have marinara, we have pizza sauce.” And then just sat there and stared at us….. oh and then never gave us the sauce it sat behind the cash register. We went back to grab it after walking away and she said “I was gonna give it to you”. She also told us that we were “supposed to ask for the sauce at the beginning of the line”. We just wanted some sauce to dip our breadsticks in man….maybe more training on customer service etiquette? I understand dealing with customers can be tough, but we were very...
