As I was spending the weekend alone while my bride visited her sister, I felt like eating noodles in front of the TV. This was my first visit to Asian Thai although they are right next door to El Azteca, a place I have frequented more than I can count. Asian Thai did not disappoint. The dining room is closed due to Covid so the options are take out or delivery. I called in my order for take out and the order was ready within 15-20 minutes. My order consisted of a small Won Ton soup ($2.95), pan fried Dumplings (8 pieces for $7.25), and Lo Mein noodle with chicken ($9.95). Total cost with tax was $21.26.
Upon arriving, the breeze way had a scented fragrance a bit stronger than I prefer but I complain of most strong fragrances. The waiting and dining area did not smell as strong but since there was no dining in, it really did not matter.
My order was ready within minutes of arrival and I was quickly back home opening the bag. Seeing three (3) won tons in the small soup I ordered made me quite pleased. My last order at another restaurant revealed the same number in a very disappointing quart sized order. The flavor of the soup was similar to what I expected which was good.
The pan fried dumplings with dipping sauce was quite good and I could not keep from eating all 8 pieces. Feeling a little full at this point, I proceeded to dive into the Lo Mein dish. The dish was nice and hot but I felt the need to add a bit of soy sauce as I do to most of my Asian dishes. After several bites, I covered the container and placed it in the refrigerator for a possible later night meal.
Due to the location, price, menu choices and taste, I believe Asian Thai will be seeing more of my business. You...
Read moreI would like to give this two stars and could if I were judging based on food quantity. It was a hearty portion. However, no amount of food supersedes poor quality. I spoke briefly with Amy, who was delightful, as my carry out order was prepared. I made certain to ask about their use of proper and quality ingredients. Indicating that I eat Thai @ least 3 times/week, back home. She assured me that the final product would be delicious. I can unequivocally say that it was NOT. I ordered the red Panang curry in coconut milk with chicken, made to medium. The lack of key ingredients; red curry, fish sauce, sesame oil, galangal and keffir lime leaves disallowed the dish to even resemble a proper coconut curry. There was zero spice and very little coconut milk which left the dish bland, bitter and oddly creamy. The rice was over cooked and was clearly waiting for the night to end as I was the last order of the day. I normally do not write reviews but in this case I would be remiss not to sound the alarm. I am in town on business and took careful consideration as to where I would purchase dinner the highlight of the hotel dwellers day. I was as I always am, concerned, by the fact that this restaurant calls istself Asian Thai and serves a wide variety of Asian fare with one of the many being Thai. Perhaps, they should focus on one varietal and master it before moving to the next. A colossal waste of $13.00 for a single entree. Do youself a favor and pass on this place. Do them a fovor too, tell your friends to pass. Perhaps they will close the doors reassess and develope a menu that...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of enjoying takeout from Asian Thai restaurant, and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the Crab Rangoons to the Sesame Chicken, every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. I was blown away by the quality of the food and the service we received, and I give this restaurant a solid 5 out of 5 stars.
The family that runs this restaurant clearly takes great pride in their food and service, and it shows in every dish they serve. The Crab Rangoons were perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and creamy on the inside, and the egg rolls were filled with fresh vegetables and had a satisfying crunch. But the star of the show was the General Tso's Chicken and Sesame Chicken, which were both absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauces were flavorful and not too heavy.
In addition to the food, the service we received was top-notch. Our order was ready quickly and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our food before we left. I was impressed by the fast service and the fact that our food was still hot by the time we got home.
Overall, I highly recommend Asian Thai for anyone looking for high-quality Chinese food. The family that runs this restaurant clearly cares about their customers and their food, and it shows in the dishes they serve. With fast service, perfectly cooked dishes, and friendly staff, this restaurant has earned a spot at the top of my list for Chinese takeout. I will definitely be...
