A Truly Disappointing Experience at Subway – Never Again!
I don’t usually take the time to write bad reviews, but my experience at Subway was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn others. I’ve given this place multiple chances, thinking maybe I just caught them on an off day, but after repeated disappointments, it’s clear that this location is simply awful.
Dirty and Unhygienic Environment
The moment I walked in, I noticed how unclean the store was. The floors were sticky, tables were covered in crumbs and leftover napkins from previous customers, and the drink station looked like it hadn’t been wiped down all day. The worst part? The prep area behind the counter was just as bad. I could see bits of old lettuce, stray pieces of meat, and other food debris all over the counters. It was genuinely off-putting to watch them prepare my food in such an unsanitary environment.
Terrible Customer Service
The staff at this location seemed like they had absolutely no interest in being there. I stood at the counter for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, despite there being no other customers in line. When the employee finally came over, they barely made eye contact and acted like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food. I understand that working in fast food isn’t easy, but at the very least, a basic level of customer service should be expected.
To make matters worse, they were out of multiple ingredients – no spinach, no cucumbers, and even no bread options except for one type. When I asked if they had more in the back, the employee just shrugged and said, “No, that’s all we got.” No apology, no attempt to suggest an alternative—just pure indifference.
Food Quality – Or Lack Thereof
I ordered a simple turkey sub, but somehow, they still managed to mess it up. The bread was stale and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The turkey slices were dry and had a weird, almost rubbery texture. The vegetables were not fresh—some of the lettuce was brown, the tomatoes were mushy, and the onions looked like they had been sitting in water for way too long.
And don’t even get me started on the sauces. I asked for a little bit of mayo and mustard, and the employee absolutely drowned my sandwich in it. By the time I took the first bite, the entire thing was a soggy, disgusting mess. The flavor was off too—like the sauces had been sitting out too long and absorbed the taste of everything else in the container.
Overpriced for What You Get
Subway used to be known for being affordable, but honestly, the prices they charge now are outrageous for the quality they deliver. I paid nearly $12 for a footlong sandwich that tasted worse than something I could have made at home with week-old groceries. Add in a drink and a cookie, and my total came out to nearly $17. For that price, I could have gone to a sit-down restaurant and had a far better meal.
Long Wait Times and Poor Management
Despite there being only two people in front of me, it took nearly 15 minutes to get my order. The employees seemed confused and disorganized, constantly stopping in the middle of making one sandwich to go do something else. The worst part was that they kept running out of basic ingredients mid-order, forcing them to go to the back and take forever to restock. It was clear that whoever manages this location has no idea what they’re doing.
Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs
This was by far one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve ever had. Between the filthy environment, uninterested employees, poor food quality, and ridiculous prices, there is absolutely no reason to ever come back. If you’re craving a sandwich, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Subway has completely gone downhill, and unless major changes are made, I don’t see them improving anytime soon. Save your money, your time, and your...
Read moreI made a mobile order early march and upon my 20 minute commute in the snow I realized the store was closed as the lady inside was taking everything down and the doors were locked, I checked my email and seen my order was cancelled and I’ll be growing a refund minutes before I got there . I look around and there’s more people coming to the door pulling on it looking to get food. So at this point it’s clear they are closing earlier than they are supposed to. I reached out to the Director of operations ANGEL HANVILLE the next day expressing my disappointment in the lack of professionalism as no one called to say hey don’t drive out here we are closing early or anything and I got a prompt response apologizing about what took place. She asked me for my address so she could send me coupons in the mail to make up for what took place she also stated that even though I mentioned to her I used a buy one get one free coupon from the app and it was no longer visible in the app as a new promotion was on I still should be able to use it. I responded with my address and let her know I don’t see the coupon in the apps I would be able to use I since it’s not my fault they closed early. To this day I have no ever received anything in the mail more has she responded to the 3 emails I have sent asking for an update. This location and it’s professionalism is disgusting. The fact that she acted as if she was going to help assist me in this situation and then just flat out stopped responding is beyond crazy to me. The phone number listed doesn’t even work so there’s no way to even get in contact with anyone. I have sent the subway head quarters a letter since I can’t find the number and I’m sure they will be addressing this. There’s too many complaints on here that are similar happening over and over again something has to give and to think she’s the Director Of Operations she should be held to the highest standards so I can only imagine how her staff runs...
Read morePut an online orded in at 6:10pm, was told it would be ready at 6:35. Arrived at 6:40 and my order still wasn't ready, employee was too busy handling customers, in store, who had gotten there AFTER I put my order in, some who had walked in after I walked in. I stayed until 7pm, almost an hour after my online orded was placed, because I had to go to work, which is why i put the order online in the first place, because I didn't have time to wait in line. If online orders aren't going to be handled correctly, remove them as an option. So now, not only am I out the $21 I spent on the subway order I didn't get, but also an additional $10 for the quick, crappy, food I had to quickly grab at a gas station. This store owes me $21, for the order I never got, and I think the employees should all be retrained on how to handle...
