Eldorado III Diner — Restaurant in Town of Greenburgh

This is the best kept secret in Westchester! Oh my gosh, we went to Eldorado III on Central Ave. for the third time today. The other 2 times were breakfast and fantastic. This time was lunch and dessert! My husband had meatloaf, which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. He also had Cream of Mushroom Soup which was homemade! His meatloaf was very robust and the vegetables fresh and nicely sautéed. I had the veggie quesadilla and it was amazingly fresh -- again, nicely sautéed with just a hint of crunch. Very, very fresh. The wrap was unique and lovely. Feta cheese provided a nice saltiness. Ok, and now for the best part: I had Tiramisu and my husband had the Greek Baklava. I asked and all desserts are made in-house! Unreal! The Baklava had a lot of clove, and larger pieces of walnut and tons of honey -- absolutely unique and wonderful! A huge piece! The Tiramisu was a very very light feeling cake-like type -- melted in the mouth. Lovely. There was an additional meringue type frosting decoration at one corner which was not my personal favorite, but a lot went into making this desert and it was really GREAT! It is very relaxed at the Eldorado III on Central Ave. and there is plenty of parking. Very clean and nice. I just went there for dinner with my family and was extremely disrespected. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now and never experienced such bad service. The waiter “ Melanie” was very unprofessional. She didn’t greet us, she threw our plates on the table. As if she had an issue to begin with. She was treating us very differently. She gave us no eye contact. On top of that the very table next to us she was treating nice. She gave the other table cold slaw and pickle with their orders and absolutely nothing for us. When we had asked her why she had been treating us this way, she stated “ I’m type busy” which is very unprofessional. I had informed the front desk about it and he forcefully told us to stay when we had asked several times for a container. We waited 20 min for the containers. After, the man on the desk had started asking my friend for her name and place of work which is absolutely unacceptable. I will never come here again. A beautiful night turned into the worst night because of Melanie. This is corrupt. I feel bad for the owner, he has no idea how his employees are making them lose long term...

I have been going to this Diner for a few years. I get the omelet each time and really like it. I work nearby and it is convenient and food is good. The reason for 3 stars is because I find their waiters a bit much. I am a woman eating alone. Sometimes I come in with my work laptop and their waiters make inappropriate comments to me about working while eating. Then one of their waiters I think his name is Ely. Not sure, asked me if I was married. A bit much and too personal. I just want to order my food and not be bothered. Not even small talk. Just let me be! He was rude and made comments because I didn't want a spicy omelet. I really could care less about their suggestions. I know what I want to order. I think they need to tone it down. If you see a woman eating alone working, let her be instead if trying to come on to me. Don't think I'll be back because I just felt too uncomfortable and it's not the first time.
