This customer complaint may or may not go anywhere. I went into Frank and Joes’ Deli on Central Park Ave, Scarsdale, NY for the first time in five years. My colleges order from this Deli every day. I in the past had order from them but have never been into the deli. I went in around 8:05 am no other customer in the deli. There was a slim guy with Red hair balding with a beard preparing the coffee machine, who said to me whenever you are ready, I gave the guy my order, a bagel toasted with butter(simple) I think! He then past the order to a Spanish lady who he was having a conversation with, the worker behind the counter said OK, the guy walked in the back. The worker who looked at me didn’t get the bagel out of the plex glass bread case. Went into back and started talking to another worker, cutting up lettuce, still waiting! The worker who had my order, looked in my face again and pulled a plastic container off the counter and went back to talk to the lady in the back. The bagel could have been in the toaster at this point, but (NO)! After being the only person in the deli and seeing that the bagel was not started, I left Frank and Joes Deli! Bagels at Shop Rite are less money. I was just patronizing their business, but lesson learned it will be another Five...
Read moreMy first time at Frank & Joe's. I'm in Scarsdale house-sitting about 12 weekends a year. For sandwiches, I've usually gone to Panera (decent, step up from fast food) or the Shop Rite deli counter (again, decent). But I finally wanted a step up and have a real hero. Frank & Joe's did not disappoint. They had a few walk-in customers (about 3 PM on a Friday), but the phones were ringing constantly w/pick up and take out orders. I got the Italian Combo hero (make sure you get hot, not roasted peppers, IMHO). Much more meat and fixings than the places mentioned above. Everything was fresh. Service was very friendly and efficient. Glad to have found them and will be going...
Read moreWent in and ordered at lunchtime, excellent service. Unfortunately I waited 15 minutes, saw about 12 people in and out who ordered after me and who paid and received their sandwiches before me. Pastrami sandwich came out with the bottom piece of bread on both sides soggy, half non-existent on one side and gaping holes on the other. Appreciate the good bread, but cut the slices right. Russian dressing on maybe a quarter of the sandwich. Whoever made this one did not get it right. Photo is of the better half. It was nice of the cashier to offer to...
