I have eaten here 2x and both times have been surprisingly decent.
Unfortunately, tonight I had to place an order via their online ordering option --- after waiting 1 full hour something didnt seem right even after I received a confirmation email that my order had been received. I decided to call because it was already past 830 PM and I had to make sure my family was going to eat dinner.
I call and the women who answered the phone says she hadn't seen my order in the computer. Places me on hold and says they just looked at it via their "fax". Something about their system that when you place an online order they receive a phone call or something to make them aware that an order has been placed. I asked the women how much longer that I couldn't sit and wait another hour she places me on hold and says 20 mins. Considering the order consisted of buffalo wings, meatballs, and French fries I knew 20 mins for an order that had just been looked at was unrealistic. I asked for a manager to which I was placed on the phone with Sergio. I dont know about anyone else but I was always told that the consumer is always right. I work in business and I know that sometimes we have bad days but upon informing the manager of the issue he simply said I had to understand too that their fax or new system just wasn't working ? He also raised his voice as I did mine and demanded me not to waste anymore time -- I said I'm not paying $33 for rushed food at nearly almost 9pm at this point....he spoke over me and yelled IM GOING TO ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME DO YOU WANT YOUR FOOD OR NOT? I then said yes! And he hung up. I never received an apology during...
Read moreHolly cow. How can I leave no stars? I grew up with Pizza and Brew. Moved away 20 years ago and came back this year excited to go to our favorite family joint. Called ahead and let them know 30 of our family members would be coming on a WEDNESDAY night. Let them know it would be separate checks by family. Reserved the back room with my cc. Got there and was welcomed by Manny the Manager. He asked how we were paying. I said separate checks by family. He tried to convince me to do one check. I thanked him but refused. We got assigned ONE WAITER. ONE. And i think it was the poor guys first week on the job. Took forever to take our order. No customer service skills. Was hard to even get a glass of water refilled. Some people got their food in 30 minutes, others waited over an hour. Food was subpar and not the family recipes. Chicken was dry. Shrimp parmesan shrimp tasted like they went bad. Coffee and dessert were good. Then the guy brought us the check...yes, ONE check. When I asked him to split it he looked like a deer in headlights. I asked to talk to Manny but he was hiding. We had a $1000 bill-would have thought we'd get even just basic service. Split it up the bill myself and then he overcharged my credit card $100!!! It was great to be with family but this place is nothing like it was in its heyday. Mr. Racanelli would be humiliated at the non-service and blah food. Should have left Pizza & Brew in my memories. They lost a lot of long time customers with this new revamp. Someone needs to step in and train their crew how to run a restaurant. Hate to leave ugly reviews but this place is pathetic now. Racanellis---WHERE...
Read moreWe went over a month ago with my friend for dinner who happens to have shellfish allergy and garlic/onion. Been in this place milion times never had problems everything seemed to be fine! About one month ago we went for dinner again ordered fried zucchini and other food, unfortunately it happened that in fried zucchini was a piece off fried calamari which triggered the allergic reaction to start happening, Long story short manager comes to the table and we ask him if he have Benadryl or Epipen, as a restaurant they did not have any off those, menager apologize and he said that he will go to a drug store and get some and he will be back, waiter about 20 min and he never got back and the allergy reaction was getting wors, we paid the bill tipped the waitress and left to go to the closest emergency room, didnât make a big off a deal things happen, one month later we go again for dinner, we order and we let the waiter know about the allergy, the menager comes to the table and refused to serve us food and says that the drinks are on him and we can leave after we finish the drinks, we paid for the drinks and tippet the waiter and asked him for an explanation and he keep talking that drinks are on the house with out explaining anything and repeating over and over the same thing, so we left dissatisfied and disappointed if we were making a scene or we did something wrong then absolutely agree that you can kick us out but just showing up at the table and say we canât provide you food becouse you had and allergic reaction before that is insane and disappointing. Shame who...
