I recently visited Fuji Grill II in Buffalo, and I must say, it was quite the dining experience! As someone who loves Japanese cuisine, I was impressed by the extensive menu featuring a delightful variety of sushi rolls, including the exotic Angry Dragon Roll and the Caribbean Roll, which were both a treat for the taste buds. The Japanese fried rice and noodle soups added a comforting touch to the meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was the hibachi. Watching the chefs perform right in front of us was not only entertaining but made the food feel even more special. The chefs were skilled and interactive, making the whole experience fun and engaging. The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the place. The ambiance of Fuji Grill II is casual yet inviting, making it a great spot for both family dinners and outings with friends. It's a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it for the quality of food and entertainment. Located at 4151 McKinley Pkwy, it's easily accessible, though I would recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting. Overall, I would definitely recommend Fuji Grill II to anyone looking for a fun and delicious Japanese dining experience in Buffalo. The food, the service, and the hibachi entertainment all make for a memorable meal!

Wish there was a zero star option…. One of the absolute most unprofessional restaurants I have ever dealt with…after spending $75 on take out where they forgot several items, the salad was brown and the noodles were complete mush I contacted the store only to be directed to their online ordering company which makes no sense but I went along with it anyway and contacted the company who then told me that of course it’s the restaurants responsibility to issue the refund the extremely unprofessional and immature woman answering the phones told me there was no manager working at 4pm on a Friday THAT IS LAUGHABLE in itself what establishment doesn’t have a manager on before a Friday night dinner rush anyways I have now spent 4 days trying to reach a manager to no avail I am always told one isn’t working I plan to head to the store myself as I have pictures and proof of all my calls… needless to say one of our favorite places to order lunch from has declined to bad food and even worse service

Always delicious! Our server, Sarah was amazing! Highly recommend! **Update-went back on 4/3/22 and it was not a great experience. After being seated in a booth, we sat for over 10 minutes without service. Once we ordered and received our food, my order was wrong. I explained that I ordered chicken and steak, when the waitress tried giving me steak and shrimp. I told her I cannot eat the shrimp and needed the chicken. So 5 minutes later, a different waitress came over, yelling at me, that I ordered the steak and shrimp and I said I did not order shrimp, I ordered chicken. Waited another 15 minutes for my food and didn't see the waitress after that. Had to ask a bus boy for containers and the check. Next time I will try Dao instead.

I’ll be honest this was a super weird experience. I am not even quite sure what happened at our dinner the other night. I feel like I walked in and entered the twilight zone. We usually have an annual winter getaway to an all inclusive resort and get our hibachi fix there. Due to covid we haven’t really been traveling so we thought why not get some hibachi locally?

-The food- 4 stars- we ordered the chicken and shrimp steak and scallop hibachi dinners. The food was good with the exception of the shrimp. Most of our tables shrimp was a little fishy and the texture was off. The scallops were fresh but needed a better sear to have been perfect. The rest of the food is good and what you would hope for. Portions were generous and flavorful.

-The chef- 4 stars. He was talented and knew some fun tricks. Overall he was a good cook and wasn’t responsible for the funky shrimp. He was a little snarky though, made several rude comments to the table. When he was playfully trying to throw zucchini into everyone’s mouth he did angrily shoot a piece at my shirt. Glad it didn’t leave a stain. He didn’t do it to anyone else and it didn’t feel playful. He had very good aim so I’m sure it wasn’t an accident. He also had a water bottle that had a topper of a boy peeing. He squirted it into a little girls mouth. We were all a bit shocked, not appropriate.

-The server- 2 stars- The waitress was so rude. She had to take our orders, bring and refill drinks and bring and cash out checks. Not nearly as much work as other restaurants. This woman didn’t seem to care or realize she was working. At first she didn’t remember who ordered what drink, ok no big deal. But then she didn’t seem to want to bring refills, which were alcohol btw, which would have increased her tip. She ignored or forgot about several requests and seemed to be bothered to come back. Our table started asking other servers to bring us things, which luckily they were able to help with. At one point she even said out loud “I know, I’m terrible.” Which would usually make me feel bad for someone but she didn’t seem to care or to be trying to improve the situation. When we got our checks she accidentally put my Truly on someone else’s check. In another restaurant this would be fixed and no one would remember it had happened. Here she explained the snafu and apologized but didn’t offer to fix it. Once I realized what happened I asked her to fix this and add the drink to my card. She said I’m sorry and once again didn’t offer or seem to want to make the change. She told the other guests it shouldn’t be a big deal, it’s only another $5. At this point everyone was over it and wanted to leave.

-The ambiance- 1 star or less- I’ll start by saying most hibachi is memorable the first time you go, then it’s usually the same. The people in the restaurant aren’t that memorable because you are there for dinner and a show. This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was shocking. After being seated we noticed it was very crowded and a bit rowdy. It was a Friday night at dinner so many people needed to let loose a little? After looking around further some of the other guests looked dirty, like they didn’t bathe, wash their clothes or wipe their kids faces before they went out. It has to be bad if you notice this when you are out to enjoy yourself. People seemed to be careless and the restaurant was a bit messy as a result. When I went to use the restroom another worker was finishing up and said to me “I’m glad I came in here before you. Someone threw up all over.” This is super gross and like I said it was about 8:30, late dinner time. This place was full of families. I’m not sure who was going that crazy!? The stranger part was the server didn’t seem shocked, upset or that phased that this happened. I get the feeling it might be a common occurrence.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend it here and I won’t be coming back. Too many weird things to say they had a bad night. I heard better...

We decided to come here after having an amazing meal at another Fuji in Buffalo. We ordered the same food but was completely different! After we ordered the waitress came back over and said they didn’t have what I ordered. I had to show her on the menu. When she brought out our food, she brought out half of our food and said” oh I never gave you silverware”! Then she proceeded to wait on other customers. We needed drinks, the rest of our food, silverware, condiments that are usually on our table… oh and btw she brought out my app incomplete. I had to ask for the sauces that went with it. Other servers noticed we needed silverware and brought it to us. Finally the rest of our food came out. As I said before we had had this food before! Well it was nothing like we had before for the items with the same name. What came out looked great but it was all pretty with no food! There was no way of actually eating it. It come in a pretty bowl with lots of flowers but no plate! They filed the bowl with ice instead of rice. When I order this at another Fuj I had left overs and it come with so much more editable food!! Then my son ordered a Shirly temple ( 7up with cherry juice)… they charged for each glass!!!! Because it comes from a bar!!! WHAT?????Damn that cherry juice is expensive! The waitress was horrible the food was crazy expensive for what you got! Never would I ever go...

Never had any issues here. Food and service great. Today wasn't a good experience. We went in and were seated at hibachi. Our cook was great, we tipped him as we always do,and we tip well for the cooks and servers. Our waitress was very nice but she disappeared. Not sure if her shift was done or she was on lunch. We didn't see her again. What we got was another girl with the biggest attitude i have encountered there (platinum blonde looking hair). Asked her to split the check. Acted like it was the biggest deal. It only needed to be split in half and we both had credit cards, no cash, so we would of paid on one check if we could. The first waitress (nice), ended up getting me my pop from another machine because the one had no carbonation. I asked for a refill with the new waitress and she brought me the flat pop. When i told her what the other waitress did she dismissed me and said there the same. She didn't come back with split checks so i went up to the Register to ask for them. She was busy sitting at a table chatting with a friend. Because of this the tip was affected big time. When we left a car was basically parked behind mine. I had to maneuver very carefully to get out. No doubt it was an employees. So we will not be back. I know finding help these days is hard but she is seriously the bottom...
