Sweet Pea Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Hamburg

I ordered my bridal shower desserts and wedding desserts through Sweet Pea Bakery and can't recommend them enough! I had already had some of their desserts and there isn't a single treat that isn't delicious. I also have Celiacs so I appreciate how many gluten-free options they offer and how dedicated they are to avoid any cross contamination.

I worked with Emily to place the order and she set up the cutest tasting for me at the bakery. I tried about 6 or 7 different desserts and went with an assortment of mini cupcakes, mini cookies, mini brownies, and mini carmelitas, all with some gluten-free and vegan options mixed in. Our guests at both the shower and wedding reception loved the desserts!

I also ordered a mini wedding cake just for us for my husband and I to enjoy. I had a friend pick it up that morning and put it in our fridge so we could enjoy it when we got home that night. Originally I ordered a regular mini cake but asked to change it to gluten-free last minute. On the wedding day, there was a slight mixup and a regular cake was given to our friend. Turns out the owner, Audrey, jumped in to save the day and had a second cake made (gluten-free this time) and had that delivered to the venue with our dessert order and put into fridge with the caterer to make sure we had our GF version to enjoy -- so we ended up with TWO of the most beautiful vintage-style cakes! She texted me the morning of the wedding to keep me in the loop on what happened and it was SO thoughtful of her to have the second one made. Honestly, we would have been fine with the regular cake, especially since I had made the gluten-free request only several days before the wedding, but we really appreciated how much she wanted to ensure we had something special for our big day.

My mom gets gluten free take out cakes and pies for our family get togethers. I'm please to say that as a very sensitive gluten allergy haver I'm completely fine after eating them! They're top notch as well! This time we got the carrot cake and some berry pie. The carrot cake was about as top tier as it gets. Perfectly moist with a welcomed carrot peel flake here and there for texture. It is a perfect example of American carrot cake. The pie is more like one large crumble as it is impossible to get into slices. Idk how it was advertised but just saying a bit different than what some may imagine a pie to be. The flavor was superb however. Clearly made with fresh berries. The cook was perfect as some of the bubbled out berries just started to get gummy on an edge (witch I think it's perfect at least). Outstanding!!! We hosted a brunch at our home and Sweet Pea's Cafe catered the event and delivered the food to our home. The food was absolutely delicious and the Sweet Pea's staff were all incredibly helpful and nice!!! The manager and team members helped us with creating an excellent menu of selections a few days in advance which were delivered in "family style" party trays for easy serving. Some of the excellent choices included the following: Savory & Sweets, Classic Avocado Toast, French Toast, Triple Stack Pancakes (Blueberry & Chocolate Chip), Ham, Egg & Cheese Croissants, and a delicious Burrata Salad.
