El Pastor — Restaurant in Town of Haverstraw

Whoever gave less than 5 stars is just really someone who doesn’t know about real Mexican cuisine. I fell in love with this place. Why? It’s really hard to find a good place to eat with great tasting food. I moved to upstate a few years ago and I really miss that in the city it’s easy to find a good Mexican restaurant. but here it took me a while until I found this wonderful gem. I can’t believe it exist in rockland county. You have to come and try... and you’re going to know what I’m taking about . And I almost forgot, the atmosphere is nice and quiet , good service and staff is very attentive .

Great company, food and service. We got the Sea Bass Ceviche which was delicious and fresh with a decent amount of heat, but could have used more sea bass in it. Guac and sampler salsas were good. Potatoes greasy but super crispy and soft inside. The short ribs were excellent. The favorite item by consensus with companions was the unique and scrumptious corn cake. Unfortunately although the food might have a good taste, this place lacks of consistency. You never know how you’re going to be getting your food. It is frustrating to pay for food that’s nowhere close presentable or eatable. I wish I can give less than 1 star and I also wish I can add pictures cause it happens every time I buy food.
