Anzai — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I would give 0 stars! I’m never going back again. They’re rude and the food is subpar. The sushi’s barely has any meat in it. I got off work and was looking for anything open that isn’t fast food. I called at 9:30 sitting in my car because they close at 10. “Come now we are closing soon” I drove off as soon as they hung up and I was back in my car with the food at 9:40. I ordered 4 sushi rolls for me and my boyfriend. The guy at the counter when I paid said “you came late” even though I got there in 10 minutes which is how long it should take to make 4 sushi rolls. They always love to make snarky comments to customers and smile in your face as if they said something nice or even okay. I don’t need the comments to make me in off table just take my money and shut up. But no. They had to take my almost $50 and whine that they had to close 20 minutes early rather than 30 minutes early. Terrible business. I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know that I don’t recommend this spot. Especially since they have new ownership. Don’t come here unless you want trash sushi that falls apart and...

Ordered delivery from this place twice and they've dropped the ball both times.

First time was right after they opened and they messed up food and the delivery and forgot stuff. Figured they're still new so decided to give them a second chance. BIG MISTAKE!!

Completely screwed my order up the 2nd time and sent me something that I was allergic to, despite me specifying during the order not to, no idea how they can screw that up. Then, instead of being apologetic on the call, they gave me an excuse saying that they're busy. They offered to resend it and I said sure, since I was still left w/out a dinner but after repeating the order 4 times, yup, literally FOUR TIMES, they still couldn't get it right because they seemed preoccupied or just didn't care. My own mistake for giving them a second chance but I learned from my lesson. I typically have faith that people learn from mistakes but this place clearly won't. I refuse to ever order from them again, especially with SO many other amazing sushi places...

I can not get enough of this place. I've both dined here and ordered delivery. The menu is fantastic and caters to all tastes. I haven't had a lot of their soups but I've tried most of the appetizers (Crisp Duck Roll is a must try!!) and the sushi which is my favorite. They do have a lot of rolls with Mango in it that I haven't tried as mango is not a favorite of mine at all, but I'm told they were very good. I've tried pretty much all of the other rolls at this point and they're all amazing!!! The Sunday Roll is my personal favorite if you're looking to try a new one!!! The lunch specials are reasonable and filling as well. They have a large delivery area and every time I've delivered it's been both quick and delicious! if you order online through their website (for delivery or pickup) they offer loyalty rewards which are coupons for $6 off for every 50 points you accumulate ($1 = 1 point). There are still so many things to try I can't wait until...
