One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’ve dined at this restaurant about four times with each time I had a favorable experience except for my last visit. When my friends and I visited on May 5th the Wantagh location. We understood there would be a wait time, which did not bother us. We waited over an hour and a half for our food so I then asked the assistant manager (not knowing he was a manager at the time) if he could please check on our order. He was extremely rude and stated “Don’t bang on the table at me.” I never banged on the table I replied, “I am sorry, I waved at you to get your attention I did not bang on the table. I understand tonight is very busy and I would like to know if you could please check on my food.” He then replied, “I don’t have to check on anything. You need to go back to school to learn some manners.” For someone who works in the food service industry or any customer service job, let alone a manager, this was not the way to act towards paying customers. He then walked away leaving my friends and I as was well as the couple next to us astonished that he acted in such an inappropriate manner. Another waiter came with our food right after. We explained to him that we no longer wanted the food due to the horrible service we just received. This waiter asked if we would please stay and he assured us he would take this up with upper management. We did not want to ruin our evening in addition to being hungry and waiting such a long time for our meal, so we decide to stay and enjoy the rest of our night. What a bad idea that was. I spoke with the manager who was working that night who showed no compassion for the poor experience that we had. I did expect the manger to act differently since he has spoken to us other times we have been there in the past. We even expressed how great the service and staff was with our previous visits. When we were talking to the manger the rude assistant manager made comments such as “you can leave now” “Why are you still here.” While the manager just stood there. There is no way I would ever treat anyone, nor want to be treated that way especially since we paid for the food and drinks we had without asking for a discount on our bill or anything free drinks due to the poor customer service. As we are leaving the restaurant, the staff members that we interacted with on our other visits apologized for the manager’s behavior and expressed how deeply sorry they were. Even the security guard statement there was no reason for them to treat and talk to you in that manner. There is no reason why your staff should be apologizing for their manager’s behavior. I would never eat at this or any of their...
Read moreThis WAS our go-to Mexican Restaurant. That was until last month. I called on a Wed to make reservations for that evening. The gentleman on the phone said they no longer make reservations over the phone, it has to be done on line. Ok np, I go online and its stating no tables available. Strange- for a Wednesday right? So I called back and the gentleman (which I then learned was someone different from my first call) says let me check, puts me on hold then asks me what time and how many people. He "makes the reservation" or at least that's what I thought. My family and I drive to East Meadow after my daughters graduation ceremony. We are excited because we have raved about this place to our family that was celebrating with us. That excitement ended shortly after we arrived. I go up to the hostess table and say "hi we have a reservation". The gentleman in the front (which I'm going to call the "manager" because he was suited up and I really hope he was not the owner) looks and says no you don't. I say yes, I called and made it. Now remind you, we are a pretty large group celebrating a graduation. The "manager" was so incredibly rude and condescending. Tried to talk to me as if I was a child. Telling me "no, didn't I speak to you and told you we don't make reservations over the phone". I said ok, but I called back cause clearly your online reservation wasn't working and whoever I spoke to made the reservation for us. He continued to literally argue with me, in front of my family and children. So I ask him "ok, so what are you telling me" and he says "well you don't have reservations so you're going to have to wait until we can seat you" in the most unpleasant tone. Almost as if we were going to eat for free. Never have I ever experienced such poor and unprofessional behavior! I was embarrassed for my family and for our daughter. We left and went to the Margaritas in Freeport. WOW what a difference in service. They for sure made up for the bad experience we had. We used to go to this establishment quite frequently because the food and Mariachi were awesome, but unfortunately Margaritas in East Meadow will never see another dollar from me, all because of a gentleman that thought wearing a suit gave him a power trip and the right to talk down...

I usually go to margaritas in Freeport or Long Beach but I decided to give this place a shot because it was a last minute plan . Unfortunately, I cannot say great things about this place as the others. The manager there is a creep, the bus boys do not clean up the tables, pick up dropped utensils because they’re too busy taking turns touching the blonde waitresses behind while she’s putting in orders .
I expected a great experience from the blonde overweight waitress because of how jolly she was but since she’s very inappropriate she ruined her chances of a returning costumer who loves to plan group dinners, spend and tip. The blonde overweight waitress (the only white female with blonde hair who thinks she’s Hispanic )thinks she’s still 21 years old by flirting on costumers and men who come with their wives or girlfriends. Being in the business industry in the past , I never knew flirting on taken men , staring at them non stop while they are eating next to their partner, grinding by the register was a thing. I don’t know how this waitress thinks she could be very comfortable with strangers. I should of known this place was trash the Moment I saw it next to a subways .
I guess that’s what happens when white lower class women work at a Spanish restaurant , think they’re privileged and could get away with disgusting behaviors. I Will be sticking to Freeport where the workers are more professional and...
