I was excited to try this place because they offer vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered the Vegan Frenchie (spinach, tofu cream cheese, and caramelized onions) and expected a positive experience. Unfortunately, it was disappointing from the start. When I asked what vegan sides were available, the employee—though kind—was unsure and listed non-vegan options like macaroni and potato salad. When I asked for fruit, I was told they didn’t have any available, even though they clearly sell packaged fruit in the cooler. Eventually, I settled on the tomato and cucumber salad, which came plain with no dressing. When my sandwich arrived, it was missing the caramelized onions entirely. I went back to let them know, and they said they’d “caramelize them now,” which meant waiting again. The sandwich I’d already taken a bite of was taken to the back, which didn’t feel right to me. I explained my concerns at the register — not just about the missing ingredient but also about the lack of knowledge around vegan options. The cashier apologized and mentioned a chickpea salad I hadn’t even been offered earlier. I ultimately asked for a refund, which they gave me for the sandwich only, not the drink. I appreciate that they tried to be polite, and the place was clearly busy and well-liked, but if you’re going to advertise vegan items, staff should understand what that means and how to accommodate it. It was a frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning.

This is a great spot to get a bagel in East Meadow hands down. It has always been my go to for quick breakfast for nearly 20 years. However, I koved out of New York and went back to visit family. I stopped in for breakfast and was quite surprised. The place was not packed as it used to be and the quality was significantly different. I was surprised at how high the prices were yet the quality of the food went down. I paid $28 for 3 bagles!!! It was a pretty big let down for something I was craving for a while. If you're looking for a regular bagel with cream cheese go for it but anything else, don't bother.

First went here in 2007 on a trip from Florida. For sixteen years I've been dreaming of having these bagels again! SIXTEEN YEARS! It was definitely worth the wait. These bagels are amazing and the cream cheese is the best.

I was placing a order for delivery and I was told I needed a minimum of $20to place a order for Hempstead which I never had to pay before. I was a lil upset to here that but I understand Policy is policy and it’s was just something that was overlooked in the past. After I was told this the phone was dead silent. So I called back to see what happened And I herd a different voice on the phone. I told him I was trying to place a order on the phone for Hempstead and then he rudely told me the minimum for Hempstead is $20 and just hung up on me and didn’t let me get another word in. I was going to purchase more items so I could get my food delivered. So I called back again to speak to a manager and it was the same voice I herd the second time. I was just trying to explain the Scenario to the manager about how I feel disrespected but the only word I got out was that I was trying to place a order for Hempstead then he cut me off saying “look if you’re not paying at least $20 of food I’m not delivery to you today. we are really we are really busy ” I felt the anger in his voice when he said that to me it almost left me speechless. How do you run a business with the manger talking to customers like that. It felt like I was threatened. I know is wasn’t threatening but still I shouldn’t have been talking to like that. I work at one of the largest dealerships in America and our volume gets crazy too but that doesn’t not give us an excuse to disrespect customers and turn away business. But let me get back on topic. After I gave him his chance to talk I told him that I was trying to order more food to meet the minimum so he gave me this week apology like he didn’t care and I know he didn’t care because he hung up on me again. This was a terrible way to start off my morning. It’s only 8 o’clock and the manager can’t keep his cool with a customer that not even trying to be a problem. I will make sure some high up with hear about my experience with them...

Food is good. It is, cannot deny that. Better than most delis in the neighborhood. Coffee is good as well.... the reason I have this place lose 3 stars is due to its service. Subpar service at best. Not sure what it is? I've worked in the restaurant business for a long period of time, managing restaurants and such, which leads me to this conclusion. The management has a backward way of tending to the customers.

You place your order at the counter. The person taking the order listens to your instructions and writes them on a little piece of paper. A carbon copy is given to you to take to the register and the rest is given to staff in the kitchen. That's where the fun begins. By the time your food comes out, there will be a mistake. For sure!! Want egg whites? You get regular. Want regular? You get egg whites. Scooped out plain bagel? You get an egg bagel not scooped out. I don't get it. If you call and complain, they always replace your order which is good, but when your hungry and annoyed, the new sandwiches never go down correctly.

If it's busy.... forget about it!!! Not only will there be errors, the order will take too long!! My wife and I went one morning and waited 30 mins for two simple egg sandwiches!! When my wife complained about 20 mins of waiting, they said they had a large called in order to complete first!!! The reason we didn't call it in was to avoid errors, which by the way, my wife's sandwhich was WRONG!!!! Smh...

Manager/owner is a true gentleman, very kind and nice. His staff is made up of many high school or young college students, which seem to be clueless. Nice kids. Just clueless. Hopefully this review will wake up the management, if they care about their business. If not, then they will continue to screw things up and lose customers. I'm going to give them one more shot. Crossing my fingers, because I actually do...
