Stopped by for a quick lunch and I was not disappointed. Since the pandemic, I have dined out as much as I would have liked. Applebees have always been a good spot for me.
I see they have since up their game and it surely shows! The quality & taste in food has improved beyond measure. They were extremely accommodating and tweaked my meal with changes I asked for.
All the same great managers but totally new floor staff. My waitress was lovely! Very friendly, attentive and professional.
I’ll be eating good in the neighborhood soon enough again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 5 out of 5 stars The Applebee’s in Baldwin (the old Red Lobster 🦞 location) is honestly one of my neighborhood favorites. I’ve been here countless times, and every visit feels easy, welcoming, and satisfying. It’s the kind of place you can count on—for a casual dinner, a night out with friends, or just a quick bite with great value.
The service and staff are always friendly, attentive, and down to earth. They make you feel at home the second you walk in, whether you’re sitting at the bar or in a booth. I’ve never had a bad experience with the team—they’re consistent, and it’s clear they care about the customers.
Now the food—it’s consistently good, with a menu that’s packed with options. I’ve tried everything from their boneless wings, spinach & artichoke dip, burgers, chicken tenders, ribs, and those sizzling skillets—always tasty and cooked right. They’ve got lighter fare and hearty comfort food, so you can eat according to your mood. And let’s not forget the 2 for $25 and happy hour deals—hard to beat for quality and price.
The cocktail menu is underrated, too. Whether it’s a margarita, a Long Island iced tea, or one of their seasonal drinks, it’s always on point. And the prices are more than fair—you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.
It’s a great place to unwind without overthinking anything. Clean, comfortable, lively, and dependable. For the price, the quality, and the experience, this Applebee’s is solid gold.

Read moreI recently visited the Applebee’s in Baldwin, NY, and I must say, it was a five-star experience through and through! Our server was incredibly attentive, striking the perfect balance between being there when we needed anything and giving us space to enjoy our meal.
The appetizers were nothing short of amazing. We started with the boneless wings and the spinach and artichoke dip, both of which were deliciously flavorful and set a high bar for the rest of the meal. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy inside, and the dip was creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. These appetizers were not only a hit at our table but also seemed to be popular choices around us, judging by the nods of approval and satisfied expressions we saw.
What truly set this visit apart was the timely service. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our food arrived promptly, and everything was served at the perfect temperature. Our drinks were never empty for long, and our server made sure to check in on us regularly without being intrusive.
The entire experience was seamless from start to finish, making it clear that the staff at this Applebee’s location genuinely cares about providing excellent service. It’s refreshing to see a team so dedicated to ensuring their guests have a great dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning to the Baldwin, NY Applebee’s and would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and a...
Read moreWe sat at the second booth by the door and we ordered the 2 for 20. Our waiter was a nice young boy maybe 18 or 19. We ordered 2 burgers one was medium well and the second one was medium. When we received our burgers I cut mine in half just because I always do. For some odd reason the two burgers were well done and dry. I was hungry and tired so I didn't want to wait for another but I wanted them to know so I just called the greeter (who looked very unhappy that I called him over)and told him that they're both cooked too much and that I don't want a discount or another one but I wanted them to know that the kitchen does not know how to cook and the management should know(with a pout like that on his face he shouldn't be a greeter). (FYI: If it was a steak I would have definitely requested another one.) The lady manager comes over to our table puts both hands on the table and leans over our dirty stacked appetizer plates and says "our medium is well done" so I nod then she says "you want another one" so I say no thank you. Then she leaves without picking up the stacked up dirty dishes. They were on the table the whole meal. If your medium is well done why doesn't your staff warn me???? She didn't even apologize.... :/ our waiter was a nice kid he showed more hospitality then anyone in that place. Where is the corporate??? Do they check on...
