Was visiting a friend at vellystream. He suggested to eat at this place . Actually last year I had not a good experience eating at BBQ Nite Hicksville branch .the food was made with Shan spices it was crazy busy but not my standard .So I was not sure to go at this branch but my friend Atiq-ur Rahman insist that this place is his almost 3 times a week stop as the food is excellent. So we step in was not too crowded at 6:30 pm .Atiq ordered chicken achari ( his favorite and choolay (chickpea curry) .2 Nan and 1 roti ( fresh oven baked pita bread/tortilla) .. Food came in few minutes. And we started . Honestly I never have such an amazing Choolay ( chickpea with curry) even I live in Jackson Heights where a lot of Desi restaurants ( Indian Pakistani Bangladeshi) serve Choolay but none of them can compete this one's recipe . Chicken Achari was also great .Nan were not only the best but also their weight was perfect same with Roti .In Jackson Heights and around restaurants make Nan and Roti very thin ( I can easily eat 3 Nan or rotis with a curry plate .Some times little more. But here two Nans were enough for me to full stomach meaning Dough used was weight enough. Prices were super great Choolay / chickpea curry was just $6 and was enough that not only we two person enjoyed we took rest for home which would be great for two more meals . Chicken Achari was also so much that we ate it not only at the restaurant but to bring it home and it seems will use it for the next two meals . Price just $10 a plate . Nan / Roti price was $1:50 each but again heavy in weight and excellently baked . Onion & lettuce with green Chile Yogurt sauce was also given free and was fresh . Soda $1 water bottle $1 ..So total bill $24 .For 2 person having our hungry stomach full and bringing home enough food for next two meals it's a great deal when the quality of food is great .After 7:15 the restaurant was crowded with customers. Try this place you will enjoy it and hope not will be...
Read moreAnother Great Halal food joint in the area. Im giving it 5 stars for now as it's always better to go and see for yourself how a place is and how good the food is. In my opinion BBQ nite has some great food to offer and I'll update my review with future visits.
Picture this, we were having our iftar here and 5 out of 6 tables had their Masala fries and Wings. Tells you alot about what you have to try here.
Foods we tried : Chicken Bihari Kebabs - 3.5/5 2.Chicken Tikka Boti - 4/5 3.Masala Fries - 10/5 :) Hot Wings - 10 pieces - 5/5 Naans - 3.5/5
Pros Great place to go with family. A regular table can house 4-5 people comfortably Decent mix of Desi dishes and mouth watering fast food place. There is a masjid right next to it. There was ALOT OF CHUTNI :) why am I excited about this? Because most desi places you go to they either dont give you chutni on the side or you have to ask them and even after that they give you 1 chutni for 5 samosas... On the contrary BBQ Nite had lots of bottles for everyone to enjoy. Great Job The person behind the counter was friendly and professional.
Cons This was not a con for me but I am sure it would be a con for some people. Most Desi joints pack your food but here we had to pack our own food. This makes me realize this place is more of a fast food place. 2.Parking might be an issue as there is not enough room, probably 4-5 cars and also depends what time of day you go.
Over all a great mix of desi gourmet and fast food.
I am looking forward to going there again!
Thanks for reading my review and yeah, plz give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed and found this...

Yesterday night we went to eat our dinner with our guests and before we place the order we ask her we going to eat inside is that ok ? They said yes they never mention that they going to close 10pm and there menu book said 11pm Friday to Sunday. So we order the food around 8:50pm there food came to our table 9:20pm. We even didn’t finished our food the girl cashier around 9:40 turn off the light without telling us anything and we still eating . What kind of restaurant is that and what kind of owner belongs to this restaurant? When my husband ask why you guys turn off the light they said they close at 10. So it’s not even 10 and atlist when your customer eat you should say something nicely before you turn off the light..I ll never ever go this restaurant and there food quality now no more good as before the nan I order they burn and it was so hard not even soft food was cold...
