This is a place that we've been going to for a long time. When they Where at there? previously location. We would go 4 times a month. throughout the pandemic We supported them with takeout. Since they moved to the new location say doubled in size end. It's near to impossible to get in. Me and my wife went Last Friday. The girl taken our names said it would be about 20 minutes. We waited at the bar. My wife had a beer and we waited for our table. In the mean time there was 3 to 4 other couples of 2 and one party with 3 Arrived after us. They proceeded to see the other couples in the party of 3 before us. When I spoke with the girl, she said the table accommodated three people so they didn't sit us even though the people came in 20 minutes after us. I probably will never go back being that. This isn't the first time that we would treat like this. We've been on the first name basis with the waiting staff for a long time. And I just feel that ever since they moved there. They're making more money and they don't care about losing a loyal custom. Update: After posting the review, I was contacted by the restaurant and they explained some of the troubles they're having and helped to...

Have been going to this restaurant for many years when at the old location near hillside and Braddock and was so happy to hear they moved to a newer and larger location. Called just a moment ago to ask for reservations for 2 at 5 p.m as we don't want to wait and Saturday is usually a busy night. I was told "they don't take reservations for 2 and it's first come first serve and usually busy" which is why I told the woman on the phone that's EXACTLY WHY we wanted a reservations so as to not have our evening ruined by chance as most restaurants take reservations for 2 easily so customers can be assured a seat without needless worry or aggravation. Again she declined and I said I guess we will not be enjoying your new location with this ridiculous policy in place. Our money is green and good anywhere so another Italian restaurant will benefit for their foolishness being to inflexible with reservations from loyal decade long patrons. They should join open table and have a credit card required to hold a reservation if they are so worried. Its just a really bad business practice to refuse loyal customers who made you what you are. Big...

Cara Mia has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants, and I can see why it is such a special place for my girlfriend’s family. They go there for every big celebration and now I understand why.

We went with a group of 10 to celebrate three birthdays and everything was fantastic. I had the veal pizaoli and it was absolutely bonkers. The food across the table was amazing and the service was just as good. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they made us feel completely at home.

My girlfriend’s uncle loves the place so much he has built a relationship with the owners. Whenever her parents and aunt and uncle go, they are greeted like family, which says a lot about the care and hospitality here.

By the end of the night I was stuffed and even though we stayed past closing time, the staff remained friendly and never once made us feel rushed. That kind of service is rare and worth recognizing.

Highly recommend Cara Mia for anyone looking for incredible food, great service, and a true...

I love this place. I've been going to it's original location in Queens Village for many years. The food is fantastic. They offer large family style portions and prices are reasonable. The staff is great. Some of the waiters have been serving us for the past 11 years. We were happy to see that they went to the new location in Floral Park. The restaurant itself is very nice. I always have the Chicken Cara Mia. My husband enjoys the Veal Sorrentino and our son changes his dishes at every visit to try all on the menu. The mussels are great, the penne alla vodka is so good. We truly enjoy their food. I highly recommend.

I support all restaurants that are staying alive during these bad times, and my heart goes to those that unfortunately had to close. Cara Mia in Hillside, What a nice restaurant! I ordered the pazzo salad, which means “the crazy salad” and realized on my first mouth full that the hot and cold vegetables in combination with the green leafs and 3 different cheeses made me crazy for more! Followed with their minestrone soup and thereafter pushed for their fresh house cannoli. I was content and happy that I was recommended to visit this establishment and can’t wait to be back for their traditional dinner menu.

The pasta is always cooked fresh and my lasagna was perfect. The red sauce is so good and its not like some resturants where the red sauce gives you heart burn. The sauce is perfect. The bread came out warm and toasty for the table. The service was also very good. I absolutely love the mango martini and would recommend that. Average cost for 2 people will probably be over $100. If its packed it will be VERY loud inside so if your looking for a quiet place this isn't it. Outdoor seating could use some work to enhance the decor or vibe.
