The Harrison restaurant is a very loud raucous noisy crowd. They are a large bar. I had a 5-hour braised beef dish. It was a small portion of six ounces of beef. It came with vegetables and risotto. The risotto was very nice and actually better than the beef. The beef portion was very small! The rest of the party: four of us had braised beef two of us had shrimp with shells and tomato sauce one of us had a hamburger. Drink wise two of us had beer one of us had red wine and I had a black Russian. My bill came to $70.00 including tip and I was lucky enough to have my sister-in-law drive us home. They do have handicapped accessible restrooms. There is on-street parking. They have large steps going into the restaurant. I do not know if they have a handicapped entrance or a ramp for handicapped wheelchair accessibility. The service was very quick, and they try to push drinks upon you as soon as possible. There were many parties taking place at the time we were there. They are a very loud restaurant. This is not the place for a romantic evening. If you want to carouse and meet a lot of people, the bar is very active and you might have good luck.. This is a meet up type of place where you can meet many eligible people at the bar if you are of this age and have the money to pay for the drinks and the ability to get yourself home after drinking yourself. They have approximately 50 tables including their adjoining dining room if not more. The food is competent but at least two cash bars or $40.00 minimums for any entree. There is good cell phone service in this bar. Overall, it was a competent meal. The food was delivered hot and the service was good. July 2,2025 My wife and I returned to the Harrison to meet up with her friends We were put into a different room than the main hall. The a/c was full blast and I was actually cold which was unusual. There were twenty five couple with children and the noise was tremendous. There was only one waiter for all of us and he was totally over whelmed by the number of people and clamor going on around him. He breezed by our table asked for a drink order from one of our party then flew off not asking anyone else if they wanted anything?! Ten minutes later when I saw him... I shouted to make myself heard above all the screaming children and parents and he was startled and I told him I had waited ten minutes for him to take a drink order from me and I understood that he was overwhelmed I wanted to sample the bourbon charred beer (they were sold out} so I asked for a Guinness. Unfortunately I like ale but not dark/or porter type beers but drank some of it and gave up after a 1/3 of it. An acquired taste for sure. We all gave our food orders and I stayed with ribs. They has a beautiful crab with shrimp with shells in a cream sauce, my wife had French steak dip, another had short ribs, and our host had salmon. I know that help is hard to find but to have one guy running around for twenty five tables while you have two people manning a hostess desk in the front is silly. Our room needed more coverage or a cocktail person coming in more often because a tavern makes its money on selling liquor! Food being served is mandatory by law. Good food is hard to find with reasonable prices and the Harrison has both, The noise is ridiculous but I bear with it because of the food. Lastly the desserts: Two of us had chocolate lave cake. I had strawberry ice cream and so Ice coffee (some of the beat I'd had! They have a great brand. I don't know if I'll ever come back here because of the noise. I hold no grudge against the server who was in a damned poor situation and persevered despite the screaming, screeching and noise of the dinning...
Read moreI’ve had the pleasure of enjoying both takeout and dine-in experiences at The Harrison recently, and I can honestly say both were excellent. A few weeks ago, I placed a takeout order and was impressed right off the bat—not just by the food, but by the staff. There were three teenage employees handling the order, and they delivered customer service better than most adults I’ve encountered. They were polite, informative, and even recommended the spicy linguini, which turned out to be a great option , even though I came there for the deep scallop.
Fast forward to yesterday, I had the chance to dine in, and it confirmed everything I already thought about the place. It’s not hard to get a reservation, which is surprising considering how good it is. The interior is a nice balance between upscale and relaxed, so you can go in dressed up or casual and feel comfortable either way. There’s also bar seating for a more laid-back experience.
We were seated quickly and started with a basket of fresh bread. It was warm, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. We ordered from the prix fixe menu but also tried a couple of appetizers from the regular menu: the oysters and the mac and cheese. The oysters were fresh and well-prepared, and the mac and cheese was large enough to share. It was very cheesy, but It wasn’t a deal breaker.
One of the highlights was the Brussels sprouts, which had a bold, flavorful profile. They did come with a sauce on top that wasn’t quite to my taste, but thankfully it wasn’t overpowering, so it was easy to enjoy the dish once you got past it. For mains, the eggplant parm was well generously portioned and smothered in sauce, just the way it should be. The spicy rigatoni was also good, though a bit heavier on the sauce than the pasta itself. That said, by the time we got to that dish, we were already pretty full.
We ended up taking the desert to go.
Overall, the pricing is more than justified by the quality of food, service, and overall experience. This is also a resy restaurant , so if you use the AMEX Delta Platinum or Reserve, you should receive your monthly...
Read moreLove it! We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law at The Harrison and it was wonderful. The private room is pretty and spacious. It has glass doors that open up to the outdoor dining patio. The food was great, the staff attentive and the catering manager, Bernadette, is wonderful. She made sure we had the event we envisioned and were well attended to. Great event for us!
Amending my first review! I went back for dinner on a Saturday night with my family and we had NO complaints. Everything on the menu was available, great food and good service. I did go back for lunch with my friends and again, some food and drink items were not available. We ate in the bar area and asked ahead what they didnt have. Lunch was good, and the waiter/bartender was a good sport.
Went on A Monday—Veterans Day. It was pretty empty but obvious they had come off a busy weekend—because they kept telling us that. My husband ordered a drink—very popular upscale tequila, after a search, they didn’t have it—coming off a busy weekend. We ordered food. My wedge salad had brown around the edges and the tomatoes were extremely mushy—pretty unappetizing. A few minutes later I was told the pasta I ordered could not be made—no short rib sauce. I ordered the roasted chicken. I saw our order sitting under the lights for a while and when I did get it the chicken was dry and not impressive at all. Overall very disappointing. They did not seem very concerned whether we were happy or had a good experience and we did not offer our opinion and again,...
