Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Bellmore — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

In my search for good Chinese food spot on long island I came across this spot. Looked online and they had great reviews and a good looking website. I phoned in a order to pick up. The lady who took my order was a little rushy, but understandable because their online ordering system was down and were probably getting a lot of of calls. Had to tell her several times "I'm not finished placing my order".

Placed my $80 order and was on my way.

When got to the place and walked in the door, there was 1 Customer at the counter and 4 people working the counter 1 young man and 3 females. I was immediately greeted my the young man who nicely said one min pls. To me, that was awesome Customer service is everything. Then one of the lady's stepped up to help me. I said I'm here to pick up a phone order. She kindly asked for my name and got my order which was already packed and waiting. Saying to myself this is awesome. The lady had trouble with her register system and could not process the order. As she was Banging on the keyboard trying to get the computer to work, I kindly asked for extra duck sauce and soy sauce, after all I was feeding a group of 10 and wanted make sure enough condiments were in the bag. The lady heard me but with the frustration from the computer I guess she forgot. She told the young man next to here my register is done can you help the customer (ME).

The young man had a problem with his register as well. I said to the young man, I requested extra duck sauce and soy sauce, not sure if the lady past that request on to you. He said no problem.

Still trying to figure out how to take my money no one is listening to my request. Finally took my money and I still was ignored. Getting frustrated at this point because now I have made this request 3 times and was unheard. I waited. Then I said I can't believe no one has heard my request for extra condiments, with all these ears at the counter and one customer inside besides myself.

The girls faces changed to disgusting look like no this angry black man didn't ask for extra stuff. Mumbling and laughing among them selves was very embarrassing, very disappointing that this store could not keep their professionalism with there staff at the counter.

Luckily the young man saved the day and went immediately to get my extra things. I said to him, bro I'm not trying to start anything I see the frowns im getting behind the counter. I offered to pay for the extra things but he replied nah you good.

Shout out to that young man who kept his professionalism in tact. He should be made a manager. And the ladies should be moved to the back of the store if they can't handle the public. Just makes the store look bad.

Now, my experience here was a shame. Because the food is freaking awesome, I enjoyed every bit of it. It even passed the reheat test. But because of the those ladies. I will take my money some where else that shows respect to the customers.

I like their food and went there all the time this time I went they hired some fat girl blonde hair but for some reason she dies her roots black took my order. I like my food steaming hot and I asked her to please have everything hot got my food, and it was lukewarm almost cold, and I said why is my food cold when I asked you for it to be hot make a long story short sent it back for them to reheat I going to assume she didn't even give to the cooks!!Got it back again Luke warm aside from that asked for 10 packets of duck sauce. She gave me three packets and said there's more in the bag, there was another three packets in the bag went there today The fat girl (Blond hair)was behind the counter and I told her I need my food not warm not cold, steaming hot I'll be ordering soup eggroll, and a luncheon special. I was informed by the fat girl that my food comes the way it comes I asked to talk to someone , she said there's no sense because they won't understand what you're saying they need to fire the fat girl .... I walked in she was eating I guess her lunch and I waited five minutes. Only person in the place. You are not prying this girl away from her food. Last time I go to Dannys shame because I really liked them before they hired the fat girl. Hope someone sees this and explains it to the...

We just moved into the area. Good Chinese takeout is essential and we found ours! We walked over to Danny's and decided to eat in instead of taking out.

The staff was all high school or college young ladies who were all very nice, helpful and sweet. We ordered a bunch of different dishes for the 6 of us. Tomato egg drop soup, mei fun, crispy tofu with broccoli, orange beef, sweet and sour chicken and vegetable zoodles. The zoodles was basically lo mein using zucchini instead of noodles. It was flavorful and delicious. He tofu was nice and crispy with a very flavorful sauce. The orange beef had plenty of orange peel and a nice sauce. The soup was exactly what my wife had wanted.

The prices were great and the food was delicious. There are so many other Chinese restaurants in the area to try but I am not sure we need to after...
