Floral Station Delicatessen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

A place on their way out, and won’t be missed.

I’m the kind of guy who rather see a local family run business turn itself around, but that doesn’t seem to be happening.

$11 for barely any meat, played flat, THICK cut cheese (more than meat), that’s not centered on the roll. Forgot the dressing, even though he asked at the end. Lettuce was black & slimy on the edges Made by a guy who didn’t even return my hello when I walked in.

I didn’t have time to walk back to return it.

It would be so easy for this place to simply make better sandwich’s and great customers. There is no competition on the street!!! This deli should be crushing it, raking in the cash, and be raved...

8.14 for ONE piece of chicken over rice for lunch?? Like really? I recently started working in floral park. The deli back by me would give 5 nice pieces (they were a bit smaller) covered in sauce loaded w rice. Not to mention the card reader is from 1990 and it takes 10 min a person to check out.

The taste-not bad not here to undermine that. Everything else...

“Homemade” salads are quite subpar. And if you are going to order an egg sandwich, ask for a fresh roll, not one from the day before. They try and push off the “one day old” rolls by toasting them on the grill. The “non fresh consistency and texture of the roll is obvious.
