Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Food was spoiled!!! I Came to the Lawrence location on 7-27-22 around 8:45pm. I just happened to drive by and thought hmmm I haven’t had this in a while. I ordered a large oxtails rice n peas and cabbage and curry chicken with white rice and cabbage. When I got home the cabbage smelt horrible in both dinners, it was spoiled. I saved half to take for lunch the next day and when I opened the container the next day the whole dinner was spoiled. $42 waisted. The worst part is that I live all the way in Westchester I’m not driving an hour to return the food but hopefully this review gets their attention. Do better Golden Krust the one in White Plains would never do me dirty like that. Lawrence would have been better off lying saying “we don’t have anymore food” instead of serving me food that was probably sitting out since...

I just left this place and trying to figure out if I want to call the police or not because the owner just pushed me. To make a long story short, he said I was blocking his business where I was parking. I told him I’m a customer as well and didn’t realized I couldn’t park where I was parking. He was the nastiest business owner I have ever spoken to. He told me not to ever come back to his place and when I asked him why he was so upset over a simple misunderstanding of a parking spot; he pushed me and said you blocked my business. I don’t like drama and I don’t like confrontation so I’m seeking advice from you guys what would you do? The ladies in the store knew what he did but covering for their boss. I don’t think I will be returning to this location or any other Golden Crust. The service is subpar. The employees are unhappy and unfortunately seem to be bothered by my being there. They’re borderline rude. There is a lingering negative energy and vibe. I asked about a new product that was being advertised and the employee responded by saying, “ I don’t know anything about that!?”.

This place looks rundown and dirty. I wonder what letter grade it has received. It’s so disappointing because I genuinely like the brand and enjoy their product.

I’m surprised this place has not gone out of business.
