I was in the area in the evening and feeling really hungry, so I decided to try this Afghan restaurant. However, it’s hard to call what I experienced Afghan food.

The chef seemed like an amateur with little understanding of flavorful food or cooking in general. I ordered the chicken tikka and kofta kebab. Cooking chicken shouldn’t be that difficult, but they managed to mess it up—Tikka kebab was smelly and undercooked. The kofta kebab appeared crispy and well-cooked on the outside, but the inside felt raw and uncooked.

I also paid extra for qabuli, which is a topping of caramelized carrots and raisins. Even that was poorly done—it looked like they just tossed in some raw carrots from a salad.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I’m usually quite forgiving when it comes to taste, but serving raw and smelly food is a dealbreaker for me. I won’t be returning to this place.
