I really enjoy the food here, and Ive had great experiences ordering online and visiting the locations in Woodbury and Lindenhurst. But there’s an employee at this location who gives off very standoffish and unwelcoming vibes. I was able to overlook the first time I visited when he blatantly ignored me and rang up several customers who came in after me before even checking my pick up order.
But most recently I was purchasing food and asked about rewards since I signed up for the points system and wanted to accrue points on my account. I showed him the QR code on the app and he looked at me like I was from Mars, looked at the app, shook his head and shrugged and was like “I don’t know what that is.” I told him I have an account and wanted to earn points with this purchase. Instead of trying to scam the code or ask someone, in a very dismissive tone he said “it doesn’t work now.”
I asked if I can enter my email or phone and he quickly said “the machine doesn’t work.” Which just seemed like his way of saying “stop asking me about this because I don’t feel like doing it.” The attitude was just very off putting and out of place for such a great establishment. I want to make it clear this experience only seems to be the norm at this location with this employee — other locations are always super friendly...

As a frequent shop this location, visiting approximately twice weekly and typically spending between $50 and $100 per visit, I was quite disappointed by an incident that occurred on a recent rainy day. Upon finding that only three units of an item I usually purchase in larger quantities were available, I proceeded to the checkout. During the transaction, I mentioned that I usually get the sponsor discount. The employee processing my order reacted dismissively, stating that applying the discount was "his manager thing" in his accent and implied that everyone present, except for himself, was a manager. Consequently, I decided not to complete the purchase and left the store, which the employee appeared to accept despite the slow business on that day. I have never felt out of place or like I was asking for too much in this location. However, I might have to buy online moving forward.
