Margarita's Tacos — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I live in LB and was on a lunch date with my girlfriend Nancy and when I searched “Mexican “ Margaritas came up with great reviews so we rode bikes over the bridge to Margaritas cafe. Arrived hot and sweaty in the 90 degree trek, only to find out they do not have margaritas at margaritas cafe and no a/c! Ate at Peruvian place next door, and when I got home read the reviews to find out why you had 4.8 rating. The reviews were all 5.0 except one idiot, and I was extra curious and also reinvigorated to go back and get take out. All the reviews were correct! Ordered a burrito, guacamole and taco, brought it home and WOW! Found my new local Mexican spot. Everything was so delicious and fresh, so glad I read the reviews and went back, sorry Bad Boy, this is the best spot in the area by far! See you again soon! I ordered food from here for delivery to my vacation home; it came a bit late, but it's understandable because of traffic. But what's not okay is that they got our order completely messed up! I ordered for 4 people; we ordered 3 beef-only tacos, a bag of chips and salsa, some chimichangas, rice and beans, and a burrito without beans. We got 1 beef taco and a chicken taco and a burrito we didn't order. The chips and salsa were good. The chimichangas were not good. The rice seemed not to be cooked, and our burrito came with beans!! We made sure to say no beans! And everything was covered in grease but was cold. Overall not a good experience getting...

I’m a huge Mexican food fan from living in California while in the military. Since moving to Island park I was never happy with the choices we had till I stumbled on this place while trying to find a place to eat tonight. To tell you the truth I’m not happy with most restaurants in the area. But let me tell you. It was PHENOMENAL! And SUPER cheap. Food tasted so homemade and authentic. After we ate my wife said that she hopes this hole in the wall stays open. It’s def a take out joint, don’t expect ambiance. Go give it a try guys and let’s give a review if the food deserves it.
