Marios Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Ok so I've eaten here at least a dozen times and the food and staff have always been very good, except for their waiter who usually goes to the wrong table several times until he finally locates the right customer. Not really a waiter but he brings the food after you pay and get a # to place on your table. Anyway, today was really gross. I ordered a Grandma slice and after it was brought to the table where I was sitting with six other Co worker's I notice that there was something on the table after I moved my paper plate. Guess what it was? An old dried up flat cockroach. I brought it to the front and discreetly spoke to the women up front. They gave me back the money I paid for the slice, which was very nice. But the roach has me thinking that my days of eating at Mario's are over. I still give them a three however because the food is good and the staff...

I just had the WORSE experience with Mario’s of Westbury. I called and placed an order for delivery to the local pool ( which has been done plenty of times before) gave the person on the phone instructions to call me once they arrive. The delivery driver never did but instead handed my paid food over to someone else and walked away. I waited a hour and fifteen minutes before i called. They claimed to have delivered the food but not sure who they gave it to. I explained i paid with a card over the phone so in fact who would have signed for it and where would the receipt be. None of them could answer that. Yet they sent me a copy of the receipt to my email with a tip included and claim they don’t know how that got there. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. I USE THEM FOR ALL WORK RELATED PARTIES AND HOME EVENTS ALSO. THEY FOREVER HAVE LOST...

As I told the management and sales people behind the counter. I can be pretty cranky when it comes to pizza, if it's not to my liking. My wife took us out of our way today to go to Mario's because she has been there before. Actually just yesterday! She promised me a great experience. She didn't tell me how great it would be. The pizza was the best I have ever eaten in my life! The size of the slice, the quality of the ingredients, the generosity of cheese and pepperoni! The varied condiments on the immaculate tables. Just amazing. Then add to that wonderfully pleasant and friendly counter staff and a beautiful, squeaky clean environment! I will be back again and again even though it is out of my way. This is what pizza and hospitality should be!...
