Ay! Caramba! — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I called for a delivery at 6:50, and the guy on the phone said it would take an hour to deliver. At 8:20, after an hour and twenty minutes, I called to see where the food was. The manager said the food hadn't left yet, and it would go out in about 20 more minutes. I asked if they could give any sort of compensation or do anything for me for the extremely long wait time. The manager replied, "I could deliver your food and you can pay for it." After asking again if he could do something for the almost two hour wait, he replied, "I can cancel your order. I'll cancel your order." I am irate that a restaurant would do that, especially after such a long time of waiting. I will NEVER eat food...

Stay away from Ay Caramba in Island Park.The prices printed in their menus have changed. No sign alerts the customer, the cashier does not mention this when you order or before you pay. That's dishonest - cheating, in my opinion. This business gives a black eye to the village. Instead of being rude on top of being deceitful, the manager could have said, "Sorry, we value your patronage, please come in & I'll gladly refund the price difference. We'll print correct menus soon". With so much competition, I can choose to order from other, honest restaurants. I am shocked at the way they treated us when we ordered take out. We ordered multiple things and they forgot one of our items. We called back to ask about it and the man on the phone claimed we never ordered it and we're lying.

If they made the mistake of missing it we wouldn't have been bothered, but he rudely yelled at us saying it's not their fault.

When we totaled our order it adds up to the missing item, and they said the prices on the websites aren't all up to date and there is a credit card fee. Since we didn't receive a receipt we had no way of verifying it.
