I frequent this place over the last couple of years. Their are plenty of pros thats why I will give 2 stars. There are also some inconveniencing cons too.
Pros: Bigger servings. Decently priced. Everything’s mostly fresh to order. (Rice may vary.) Great quality in protein choices. If you’re someone who likes more chunky meat vs. minced clumps/shavings. This place is for you. They allow you to choose serving portions in store. (1 scoop, 2 scoops, etc.) Its a lot of foot traffic for to go orders so you can seat in it in peace. (Never crowded or overly loud.)
Cons:
Everything made mostly fresh to order. (Prepare to wait at least 8-15 mins in store.) You can order online but the website lags sometimes. (Its not your phone.) You can’t alter your portions specifically online. You can pay for more protein but you can’t necessarily specify the specific protein. Only in store you alter them specifically. (Maybe you wanted chicken & fish, fish with extra salad and less rice, or whatever you desire. You can note it but it says on site may not be honored). They have a active inactive phone number. You can’t call ahead. You can’t call to ask about concerns. Phone doesn’t ring. If the business does, they turned the volume off. Maybe they don’t take phone orders on the weekends. Why advertise a phone number knowing you don’t answer your phone.
Not sure what happen. Don’t think I’ll be going back. I just can’t get pass being on hold for 7+ mins waiting to connect while walking through the shopping mall. Watching the counter woman with no customers staring down which I later observe was her own person phone. Then she looks up, puts her phone down, and proceeded to greet me. No phone was ringing. I made sure to call again in store just to make sure the line wasn’t tied up and both the cook and counter women looked very bored. Which shows me if they get my business fine if you don’t. I’ll be own my phone. Very obnoxious and...
Read moreI love halal food and I have my go to places around where I live, but the family and I were in Levittown and the Mrs was hungry, so we decided to try Naz's Halal.
I had the combo over rice and my wife the lamb over rice. We also ordered the fries for the baby. The food was average. Nothing memorable. We did finish everything as we were hungry, so the food wasn't bad. It got the job done. I guess I'd call the food fast food Halal.
What made me write this review was the service. The guy behind the counter was acerbic. No hello or welcome. No thank you. No please. No your welcome. When the food was ready we got a "hey." Clearly English was not the man's first language, but good manners are universal. While we were there another gentleman ordered a combo with fries to go. But he had to return because they forgot the fries. Did he get an apology, no he didn't. The other patron was pretty laid back, but I was irritated for him.
If I'm back at the Levittown Plaza I will not return to Naz's. Not welcoming and...
Read moreI want to start by saying I have never deleted a bad review and fixed it before but it needed to be done in this case. The rude children that don’t care at the front counter and cooking in the back are gone, I don’t know if it’s new owners or something , but the foods amazing again as well as the presentation, the price is comparable to any other halal spot but this foods my favorite again , I been there three times since I noticed the change as I stopped going there for a while and the food was perfect every time. The woman at the counter is a sweet heart and willing to help instead of pointing you to the kiosk, and the man cooking in the back is no joke and looks like he takes cooking seriously , I love the people, the food and the atmosphere , I highly recommend this place to halal lovers and those who didn’t like it in the past I urge you to give it another try....
