I would order takeout for colleagues and myself several times. The first couple of times we went there they did not tell us of the buy two get one free option for the rolls, so essentially we were cheated out of a deal that everyone else takes advantage of. We gave more chances, then there was a piece of hard plastic or inedible object in an order we made. They did replace that. We gave more chances. On one last time we tried to make a takeout order, the young man who answers the phone, made it very difficult for me to place an order and was extremely rude claiming he could not understand me although he repeated what I said and sarcastically jabbed me with his words. I doubt very strongly we will be back, so I will try to avoid this place based on his demeanor and the overall vibe of we are not welcome there, but our money is. I do not pay for someone to be rude to me, I am not that type of customer. Edit: Even in the owner’s own response stating “Love when people post damaging things to business” shows the sarcastic (mean, biting, mocking nature of their demeanor toward their customer(s) existing or former has not wavered and is without remorse.) Your “owner response” sounds exactly as sarcastic in nature as the younger taller guy who sometimes picks up the phone who spoke to me that day, which is reflected in this review. Either it’s the same guy or you are related or both think it’s appropriate to speak this way to your client base. Do better with your customers in the future with how you communicate with them and they would not have to post the TRUTH of how you dealt with them. Serve food sans...
Read moreI supported this restaurant throughout the Covid lockdown, and I don't use Uber because I try to help local businesses directly (saves the merchant their cut).
On Sunday he gave me the wrong order, which was his fault, not mine. When I called he said I needed to bring it back if I wanted credit - for his mistake. I live 30 minutes away so it would have taken 1 hour while I had Chanukah company who were sitting down for dinner. And he wasn't even offering to make me up the correct order!
When I tried to compromise (partial credit) he was abusive and said I would need to bring it back and I was no longer allowed in his store. (I later learned that Visa would not let me dispute the charge unless I drove the food back to W Hempstead, so he knew I would be charged for his mistake.)
See his nasty responses to other reviews! He blamed me for his mistake, and was abusive. I tried to compromise, to judge him favorably, but now must share this horrible story with...
Read moreI used to go every week. But now, I will not go there again They called me a thief and a liar over the phone because of a they must have thought I was someone else. Two weeks ago they got an pick-up order wrong. When we got home to eat, and saw it was wrong, we called them. They said they owe us the item for free next time. Today, we asked for the free item and they said that we have tried to done this many times before (which we have not) and they already credited us (which they have not). Then they said we are stealing and then hung up the phone on us. Perhaps someone else has tried to steal from them using this trick. I never have. Instead, they assumed I was that person. They treated me rudely. No one deserves to be treated that way, especially a...
