Pat's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Ok pizza lovers, and i mean pizza conesuiers! When I say pizza lovers! This place is the one you are looking for!! We were in the mall to catch a movie and happened upon this treasure of a pizzeria! Warmly greeted by its manager who was as charming and welcoming as can be. His staff is amazing ! And my first slice was a detectable journey of the senses ! There was so much to choose from but my first selection was the white slice ! What an experience ! I decided at that moment to ask what they would charge me for room and board!! It was that great!!! Thick with delicious cheeses and seasonings it was perfection overload!!! Im from Jersey by the way and it will be a pleasure to travel back to this business!!!! You don't get pizza or warm service like this anymore.... The crust is amazing and it just couldn't be better! I told the gentleman we would be back right after the movie! I was determined to eat more although i was satiated. The mind wants what the body can't handle lol! So we entered paradise once more. The owner im guessing the one gentleman was " greeted us with, Hey you guys look familiar!!!!! He was just a joy! These guys are talented pizza masters and just a real class act when it comes down to making customers feel right at home! So my second round slice was a ravioli slice, sinfully rich cheese ravioli And sauce on a slice. Everything was outstanding the rest of my group tried the tri colored Sicilian square and a chicken topped pizza slice with all rave reviews! I grabbed a menu so that i could bring forth the great news that a fantastic existence awaits you! Its worth a road trip!!! Theres a movie theater on the strip, make it an evening! And tell them Cha Cha from New jersey sent ya! Be sure if its your thing to try the white slice! You can thank me later lol! Enjoy! I went to this place several times, the first couple of times I notice they were just really really slow and all I ever order is a slice before class. Last week before class, I called ahead to avoid waiting again and I like my slices actually cooked not soft and floppy. So I called ahead for my slice to be made well done. Now, i thought I'd be there within 10 minutes, it took me 15 to get up the turnpike. When I go there, a short round guy loud and obnoxiously yelled out that I can't order a slice by phone anymore. So kinda of put off by this I said okay and just paid for my food, all the while he refused to make eye contact with me. Another person came up and said his pizza was soggy on the bottom. They gave him a little tude and put it back in the oven. Now, I know I called in for a well done pizza so I didnt think mine would be like that guys so left and made my way off to school. Well, when I got to the light at the end of the shopping center, I notice oil dripping on my leather seats. I pick up the paper bag and see the outline of the pizza coming thru it. I pull out the slice and its soggy as hell and oil all over. So I was still late to class because I had to pull over to clean my car seat. I was so dissapointed in that last visit I said to myself, I have to write a review because I've never had something like that happen to me until now. Very dissapointed. The pizza is good when cooked all the way but be prepared to wait a while for it. Edit Changing my review because of the response from the restaurant was rude but it definitely doesn't surprise me in the least bit how unprofessional this was handled. I liked to stop by after going shopping or just being around that area. It used to be a nice place, but when you leave “kids” taking care of the place, then things change. I ordered a large pie, I was told to wait 15-20 minutes, then I proceed to pay. I was just seating on the table (not even 2 minutes) the pizza “was ready”. I trusted these kids took my “fresh pizza home” surprise, it WAS not fresh. Called owner and told me to bring the pizza back (sure, I will travel who knows how long on Black Friday to show you the “fresh pizza”) I took it as an insult for someone to ask me to bring back the product to make sure “I am telling the true” told him it was already in the garbage. He offered me next time “a soda” to fix the problem. I did not laugh on his face for respect.

This is NOT how to fix problems:

1. You never ask your customer to bring your pizza back (it was in the garbage, anyway, do you think I am going to drive back and forth for $16 ). You need some kind of customer service training and learn how to avoid issues like this.

2. Dont argue with the customers telling them it was fresh when you were NOT there. That is a huge mistake.

3. A drink or a soda would not fix the problem.

I will never come back to that place, neither my family and friends. Please dont let the kids handle your business or you will be losing customers.
