I went with 3 of my family members for wings and drinks. We ordered Buffalo wings and were brought wings with BBQ sauce. We explained to the waitress we wanted Buffalo wings and she very reluctantly took them back. She then brought us dry wings with a small cup of sauce on the side. She told me to see if I like the sauce and then walked away. She didn’t return. When I was able to get her back to the table, we explained we wanted an order of Buffalo wings the way they are usually served. My daughter and I had them there a few weeks back and they were delicious. After more time passed, she brought back the BBQ wings to the table. At that point we asked for the check. She told me I ordered wrong and she brought me exactly what I asked for. Her solution to our issue was she removed the wings from our check but proceeded to charge us for a dish we didn’t have time to finish and all our beverages which we hadn’t drank completely yet. We paid $32.00 for one person to have a small bowl of chili which ironically the waitress complained to the bus buy was brought out before the wings which she placed an order for first. I decided to ask for a manager. I was told by the bartender that he would be in at 4, three hours later. He took my name and number for the manager who needless to say never called. We have been eating at Runyon’s for over 20 years and visited both locations when open. Our sons Baptism party was held there December 13th 1999. We live far from Runyon’s now and take advantage when we are close by to eat there. This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The food and the costumes service were...
Read moreBartender was very friendly and helpful. Hostess was sparce and after 10 minutes of waiting for her, she told us to just sit and pointed to our booth. Our server was Melanie. She was nice but not very attentive. Food was very good! Steaks were well cooked and seasoning was on point. We had the filet mignon special and the rib eye. Cooked impeccably and presented nicely. The fries were cold and the server quickly replaced them with a side of veggies which happen to delicious! NOTE: The veggie plate that you get when you sit is a great alternative to bread but we did not eat it because I saw through the kitchen doors while they were being prepared that the young man (bus boy)with black glasses did not wear gloves while preparing and handling the fresh vegetables. He dropped a few cucumber slices on the counter then proceeded to put them on the tray. All food that is to be consumed without cooking should never be handled with bare hands. This was a huge turnoff! I was very put off by seeing this and held back from eating from the veggie tray and I didn't eat my salad either. The chocolate cake was good but was supposed to be served warm and it was brought to us ice cold. It's a nice place to dine because the food is good but the inattentiveness of the hostess and server made it a somewhat disappointing experience. Oh and please TRAIN YOURTEAM ON PROPER FOOD HANDLING PER NYS BOARD OF HEALTH GUIDELINES! Food ☆☆☆☆ Service...
Read moreI cannot recommend this local spot enough. I don’t even have to write a full review - just take my word for it and go here! If you’re still reading, I’ll give you some insight. I usually would just get some appetizers as a meal (including the huge pretzel - comes with some sauces), but today I had what may have been the greatest sandwich ever. Despite it being busy with Easter, our food came out rather quickly. I got the Chicken Sandwich (hold the bacon) - comes with mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. At first glance, I didn’t know what I was getting into - it seemed like two huge pieces of cheese on a plate - I decided to take one of the cheese-lathered cutlets off to try on its own. I was legitimately left speechless upon the first bite! Soooo good! After finishing the first cutlet, I tried to have it as intended (on a brioche bun), but I couldn’t quite hold it all together. I guess the challenge of holding it would be my only complaint, but this is cancelled out by the fact that it just means I was given a very generous portion. The side of fries was on the smaller side, but still very delicious (and I was stuffed anyway). The beverages (water and Coke) were both good as well. Again, I cannot recommend this place enough - GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT service,...
