Very disappointed in this business. My family and I have been ordering here for bit and we were really excited we found a place that had a gluten free menu. I went to order last Sunday, I spoke with a lady and she spelled my road that I live on, which was weird because she didn't say anything else and then I was put on hold. A few minutes later I was told "we don't deliver there, it's too far, and I said, I have order here more then 15 times and always got my food delivered and never had an issue. She responds, well we only deliver within a two mile radius. And she wasn't very polite while telling me this. She didn't even offer me to order and just go pick it up, nothing. So that just immediately turned me away I was so annoyed. I would have been willing to go pick it up or try to pay a delivery charge for the one extra mile I am over, but with the way I was treated,it's not worth it. I do want you guys to know to whomever took my last bunch of orders, you guys were the bomb and...
Read moreMy wife has full blown Celiacs, so she can't eat the gluten free pizzas that are now offered at many restaurants - since its always cooked in the same oven as the gluten pies. Rustica took things seriously and has a dedicated oven and they work really hard to be celiac friendly and avoid contamination.
The GF Pizza is above and beyond! Their red pizza sauce is excellent. The GF margherita is just ok but the GF Grandma pie was REALLY good. Most people would not be able to tell it was GF. But the king of all kings at Rustica is the thick crust GF sicilian pie. It is absolutely one of the best Sicilain slices I've ever had in my life and I bet almost no one could tell it was GF. Perfectly crispy outside and chewy but not undercooked inside. Highly recommended for any celiacs out there longing for decent pizza again - especially a...
Read moreThis is the kind of place Nassau Blvd is really desperate for. There aren’t a lot of options to sit down and have a nice meal that feels like a community restaurant. Glad to see they expanded. We were there on a Friday night and the service was pretty slow, they were either short staffed or are still inexperienced with renovation and increased sit down business but the service otherwise was good/accommodating and we enjoyed our food. I hope the strip continues to develop like this because there is such a missed opportunity with the university down the road, the community has seemed very resistant to updated and quality food but it seems as though things are changing for the better. Glad this place seems to be doing well and has been able to add additional texture to...
