This place just opened up around me. I was hoping to make this my go to spot every morning. The bagel was pretty good too. Too bad the service was beyond awful. I went in, ordered a lox w. cream cheese on an everything bagel. Grabbed my bag and left to eat on the go. Opened the wrapping and only saw lox in a bagel.. I go back inside and tell them I wanted cream cheese on it. The employee or whoever, told me that I said I wanted lox only on a bagel. WHO orders just lox on a bagel?! seriously.. I told him no, I wanted cream cheese. Bro proceeded to argue with me and give me attitude telling me what I SAID.. Like If you heard wrong, that's fine. Slap some cream cheese on and let me go on my way. You wanted to stand there, argue with me and then end up putting cream cheese in anyway.. like why even give me grief? I read more reviews on google after and some people had a similar experience, I imagine with the same employee. Check your attitude. Man was giving off so much negative energy it went into the bagel and gave me a...
Read moreRealizing that I forgot a breakfast order for my staff (returning for day 1 of school), I called three places in Brooklyn to try to get a breakfast order for 70 or so people - all three places shared they could not have the order ready in time. Deciding to try a place more local, I went here and met with the manager George - who saved the day. He walked me through the process from start to finish (as I never ordered something like this), and when I shared with him that as I was bringing the food to Brooklyn he shared that he would have everything ready by 6:30 a.m., only to text me earlier in the morning to let me know that everything was ready and that I could pick the order up earlier if I would prefer. Outstanding service, guidance and support. Last but not least the bagels, muffins, and all other items were fantastic! George was a savior and I plan on only ordering from The Bagels from this point on (as I can drive the order into Brooklyn). Wonderful...
Read moreThe place is always nice and clean and the food is always good. The service is okay. The servers aren't rude or anything. What I don't like about this place is the "too good to go" app options. It says I am paying x amount of money for y amount of food. It seems like the value doesn't match up. Here is what I mean: Let's say they sell a rack of half a dozen bagels for $4 in the store as a discounted price for all customers. Now let's say that the app says that I get $12 worth of food for $4. OK. That would be 3 racks of bagels, or 1 rack or 2 racks and then whatever items (cream cheese, butter) to make up the costs to $12. Let's say, 1 rack of bagels, a 4 oz cup of cream cheese and 1 pastry. Is that worth $12? I don't know it seems like the cream cheese is $4 and the pastry is $4. The only places I know cream cheese and pastries to be that price is in Manhattan. Maybe it's just me tripping, but the...
