I was at the bar yesterday. As always I was alone. Yes I think the restaurant for its size is well planned. Not so much the supervisor/ manager. Well the hispanic man that seems to be in charge. There was a pretty lady sitting on my right side. I’m guessing she was with the other 2 ladies also seated at the bar. But she seemed reserved. I didn’t want to directly ask her for a drink so I asked the bar lady to give her a tot of my regular vodka. Okay she says, but instead gave and whispers something to the hispanic chap. She then stays at the other end of the bar. No tot offered yet to the lady on my right. About 7/8 mins later the big man is on my side of the bar asking the ladies if all was going well. So this time I ask him to offer her a tot on me. Loud enough for the girls to hear he says oh she only drinks a $25 shot. Can I afford it? He then addresses the ladies, speaks something in spanish pointing at me and laughing. The women laughed too looking in my direction. Mind you he is genuinely well behaved with others. Maybe my Indian skin and looks didn’t match the decor. Just maybe. It was so so embarrassing mill never set foot in...
Read moreFirst and foremost - The service here is excellent. Larry, our server was so attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was really relaxing and cozy, and most importantly it was clean and welcoming. We got salsa and chips on the house (this was so good and very nice of them) The food was incredible, everything was well seasoned, my family and myself ordered the birria tacos, chicken chimichangas with guacamole and tacos Al pastor. Everything was made fresh, hot and tasted really good. The drinks were also pretty good, I ordered the passion fruit margarita and got a mango margarita on the house - the passion fruit was good. The passion fruit juice on its own was excellent though (maybe i don’t like the taste of passion fruit as a margarita) The mango one was my favorite though. They were made well and not too strong but you definitely tasted the alcohol(I liked that). We also got a huge serving of tres leches. It was perfectly sweet and milky. I really have only good things to say about this place :) Lastly I have to say that the bathroom was super clean! We will definitely be...
Read moreAn unassuming Mexican restaurant with LOTS of flavor! Named after the luxury beach town in Mexico, the menu is filled with tasty delights that make you feel like you’re on vacation experiencing REAL home made recipes from a master chef. The Hibiscus fruit drink was perfect after a long bike ride at Jones Beach. The chips came out sizzling hot straight from the oven. I opted for the chilli which was BY FAR the best chilli I’ve ever had, which is saying something considering I’m a chilli aficionado. I took bites of my girlfriend’s Birria quesadilla which was INSANELY tasty. We left with the churros to go which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hands down 5 out of 5. Will make this a frequent stop after a day at the beach whenever I want to be transported back to food...
