-- The Wait -- My family stopped there for a quick bite since it was on our way to going to the movie theater. Terrible idea! They were rushed with orders since it appears most of their clients call in their orders. We understand so we ordered and sat to wait, but waiting 45 minutes to get our food is a bit too much.
-- The locale -- While we waited I used the restroom and I noticed it wasn't very clean. I came out with my hands all wet because there was no drier or paper towels on the restroom. I had to ask the cashier to get me some. She got me some from the kitchen. They have very few seats but since I gather they get most of their business from take out I can understand, but the place is not very clean.
-- The Food -- I ordered one of their "house specialties" ($11 plate), a steak plate cooked on brown sauce. What I got was what seemed to be four long pieces of beef jerky on sticks over vegetables stir fried on their brown sauce and a side of white rice. The rice was ok but that's hard to mess up. The beef was dry, bland and came in long 4 inch strips that required getting all primal using your canine teeth to rip the meat from the stick. My wife ordered pepper steak with onions and ironically hers came under cooked. We couldn't finish eating, we threw away most of our food.
-- The Service -- As I mentioned before they were very rushed. The people waiting in line for their food were getting impatient and one of the ladies on the kitchen kept saying "your food is ready" to anybody that asked. Only that they all had to wait at least 10 more minutes. They only offer you a plastic fork with your food but this was the flimsiest of them all. Maybe is because my meat was very dry but the fork would bend all ways refusing to grab any meat. I asked for a plastic knife to try to cut my beef jerky to a more manageable size and the cashier told me they had none, that I could get some from the business next door.
I don't understand how this place was so busy. Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe that's the only Chinese restaurant in the area but truth be told I'm never ever eating...
Read moreI was surprised to see old dirty books on the counter for people to look at. Screamed germs. The next thing I noticed was the walls plastered with a child’s awards from school. Everywhere! I’m a proud mom to but that is a weird decor for an establishment. Lastly there are still plexiglass dividers up and no seating to eat in with a big sign saying such. Not sure why I didn’t walk out. I ordered. The fried rice had shredded white chicken in it and it was old and hard. The boneless ribs were dried out and edges were burnt. It was hard to swallow. The dumpling were so thick they hardly had any meet in them. The egg roll was good. I...
Read moreI purchase luncheon special of S&S chicken , fried rice and an egg roll today. The white rice just had soy sauce on it to make it look like fried rice, no other seasonings so I could have done that myself at home. The S&S chicken tasted like it was deep friend in grease that just has fish fried in it. The egg roll tasted like fish and was so greasy it made me sick. The sauce for the chicken had soy much corn starch in it that my spoon didn’t sink. I used to go there quite a bit but hadn’t been in a while. Today will be the last time I ever go there. And I won’t recommend...
